As I'm a moderator and I live in Dublin I should announce this show. Don't ask me how I feel because right now I really don't know.
As far as I can see the preesale is Wednesday and the general sale is next Friday. No prices as yet. It will be interesting to see if all these new regulations about tickets not being allowed on seatwave for any more than face value will be adhered to.

GA - can you elaborate more on the part I bolded? It may be a topic that we should start a new thread for if it has to do with a universal policy change for ticket pricing. I'm definitely interested in hearing more about this.

There’s been a lot of controversy about ticket pricing here over the last few years. People have been complaining on national media that they can’t get tickets to gigs and GAA football games yet within minutes of sale resale tickets are appearing on sites such as stubhub and seatwave for prices much higher than the face value. With the result that seatwave (Ticketmaster’s resale site in Ireland) has said it is closing down. There is also legislation coming in to make it illegal to tout or resell a ticket for more than face value. Another option is making tickets no transferable. Ie the person who buys the ticket gets their name in the ticket and must match the ID of the attendee or you bring the credit card you bought it with.

Does that make sense at all? Bottom line I think is to cut down on scalping.

It does make sense. Ticketmaster is being investigated for selling tickets to scalpers (making money on the transaction), then allowing the scalpers to sell those tickets through their site (making even more money).

Thanks GA - and, yes, it does make sense. I wasn't familiar with the term 'seatwave' so that's what threw me about your post.

And I did a web search about the Ticketmaster investigation that CAinOH referred to - I think I'll start a new thread on this because there may be lots of discussion that will take this thread way off topic.

Well the tickets being offered on presale are beyond bad in terms of location. I'm not paying over €350 for the back end of the seating section and a lanyard. Sayonara

Yep - What a rip off! That's all I'll say about the subject in this thread though so as not to go too off topic.

And the 6th sold out in minutes of going on general sale on Freyday last so they immediately released another date on the 8th which has also sold out!!

If somehow that could get you in, I would be very interested to read a review from a different perspective.

Oh I was in. On VIP programme that I'm got in October. Hubby didn't go in the end. he was afraid he would cramp my style. Their last ever show is tonight. I'm going to that along with Desperada and a few other Borderers. This will probably be the guys last night ever in Europe in the current format at least.

Its time to say goodbye.............
