Ok, so I know some may groan, but I am very excited to say that I am seeing Eagles at MSG Feb 15!!! I have never seen them live and kick myself for not going all these years. I regret it immensely. Something always stood in the way, work, kids, etc....I was shocked when hubby surprised me with the ok! He hates NYC, said he would never go to city, let alone MSG. We got tickets via the presale, so we didn't pay that much more than we did when we saw Paul McCartney. And to be honest, when I saw how much they are asking for The Black Crowes and Harry Styles to mention a few, I don't feel so bad!

We will be sitting to side of stage, Joe's side so I am overjoyed! 😍😎 This is huge for me and I am overjoyed. I can't believe it's a month a way!

I haven't said anything about going myself. I usually don't talk about it.

I'm going to the Atlanta show on February 11th. A late birthday present t0 me. I was still cruising on February 7th and the tickets sold out very quickly for the February 8th.

I'm still kicking myself for not seeing Glenn when he was alive. I couldn't afford to see them during the HOTE tour. I missed the chance when they came to Memphis, New Orleans, Birmingham, and Shreveport. I finally made enough to go see them. Before Glenn died, I had gotten a better job and I was going to do everything in my power to see the guys in 2016 when Glenn got better. It wasn't meant to be. Too many "I will wait until next year to see them". I never forgave myself.:worried:

My wife and I are looking forward to the February 8 show in Atlanta. 2019 was an "Eagles free" concert year for us although we did see Jackson Browne, Travis Tritt and Bob Seger as part of the Eagles extended family!

I concur with Brooke. I hope everyone going has a great time. I know two of the Atlanta and MSG shows have sold out. One of the Houston nights is sold out. Not many tix are left for the 2nd night and I refuse to pay scalper prices so I’ll be sitting this one out. :sigh:

Some of the packages for their show in Los Cabos have sold out as well. Those are pretty expensive.

Delilah - From what I saw those tickets prices for Cabo are unbelievable. If I remember right, they start at $5,000.00. I think the highest price was something like 20k. It amazes me that people will pay/can afford that kind of money.

Ya the Cabo prices.....like omg.💰💰💰

Thanks Brooke, and Delilah and NKIT! I still can't believe it's happening! Besides the Paul McCartney concert, Ringo All-star band (my mom got us tickets for Christmas--sweet!) this is the only concert I have been too in over 20+ years!!

I was so happy we were able to get MSG during presale. Otherwise it would have been another year i didn't go.(Don't get me started on the "verified scalpers" via ticketmaster 😒 when I first signed in and was in queue (on 3 devices) it was like "2,000 people in front of you" I was crushed. I thought here we go, it ain't gonna happen, then after 30+ min wait I got kicked out of queue! Signed back in to multiple errors, I was like no!!!!!!! Then I finally got back in and grabbed closest tickets section 109 row 9 seats 1,2 which where in our price range.the row immediately in front of me twice as much!!

Shunlvswx that's how I was too , " wait until next year " and now look. I refuse to let it happen again.

Same here, Delilah. Those scalper prices were stupid. I wanted the nosebleeds tickets, but of course they were sold out very quickly. When it opened to the public that Friday, the resale came up and I wasn't going to pay that much. I almost wasn't going to go since both my friend and I couldn't afford those crazy prices, but we found two side tickets almost to the floor (on Vince and Timothy's side) cheaper. I really wanted to go on February 8th since that was the week of my birthday, but I was lucky to go on February 11th.

I still think Ticketmaster needs to be shot for their stupid fees. That's what hurts you in the end. Not the taxes, but the other fees.

Ive always been a dreamer

The fees are a racket. The more expensive the ticket, the higher the fee. What’s up with that? The fees should be the same across the board. Then you pay them a second time when you buy a resale. Anyway that’s my concert ticket price rant of the day, lol.

Like LuvTim says, looking forward to the reviews! There may not be much video since it seems they’re being pretty strict about recording.

In case anyone is interested....Q104.3 out of NYC, (can stream from iHeartRadio) is giving away tickets for the Tuesday show Feb 18 at MSG. And one lucky winner will be chosen to also see them In Los Cabos, Mexico. Good luck! Here is the details:
https://q1043.iheart.com/content/2020-01-16-its-the-eagles-last-resort-weekend-on-q1043/

p.s. I like listening for Don and Joe (that’s your cue to call in) 😎 8am 10am 2, 4, 5 pm.

p.s.s. For what it’s worth, although the Saturday feb 15 show is being listed as sold out....there are some $300 plus fees standard admission seats popping up lately that weren’t there before. (I check periodically). Same might ring true for other shows.

I was in the area so l figured l would see what was available at the box office. The tix l saw on Stub hub had $95 in fees. No thanks. I'm lucky l got the seat l got,

Nice. Too bad it’s wasn’t the 15th. We could’ve met! Have a blast! We will have to compare our views since we will be directly opposite each other 😉☺️

Wasn't sure if I should start new thread or not, but I went Saturday and it was amazing! I had the time of my life. I never got to see them before and of course wish Glenn was there; as I've said before, I didn't want another opportunity to slip by. My seats were slightly behind but very close.

LongTimeEaglesfan, had a better experience than I with security. I got flashlighted numerous times, being blinded, I feel unfairly. I was discreet and didn't use flash, held the phone directly in front of me not to disturb others. I felt the security was more disruptive by flashing flashlights and running up and down stairs. I attached some of my photos, not the best but I had to act quickly.

I would do it all again. I was so close to the King! I got misty eyed with "Pretty Maids.. " He continued with "baloney" as Ltef mentioned. He broke a guitar string mid song and just yanked it off and threw it to audience (lucky) He sounded amazing and guitar was on fire 🔥

Apparently some pix have surfaced that Paul McCartney was there in the crowd alongside Jon Bon Jovi. Marjorie sitting behind them. It might explain why pre-show they were playing Beatles songs and Paul solo stuff.

Sorry for such a long post but this was such an experience for me. It was magical for me. Don cracked a few jokes and Deacon got a standing ovation and he was very humble and seemed a little teary eyed on the big screen. 25232525Sorry some are sideways I don't know how to fix.

Aww, glad you finally got to see them, KingWalsh! Sorry that the security was so strict, but at least you got a few good shots. I'm glad you had the experience you had hoped for and that it was magical for you!

So glad to hear it was amazing KingWalsh. Looks like you had some good seats. Thank you for sharing the pics.

Here’s a short video of an enthusiastic Paul McCartney at the concert. Jon Bon Jovi can barely be seen seated at the lower left-hand corner during a snippet of it.

Hi KF - Glad to hear you had a great time! Too bad about security. I have always felt they go way to far during the eagles concerts. I saw on an Eagles FB fan Page that after Deacon sang PEF they flashed a picture of him when he was about 2-3 with Glenn who was holding his guitar around him. It has been posted here before. Deacon is wearing a Power Ranger PJ top. It's an adorable picture - I can see why he was a little teary eyed. Pictures of Paul and Jon Bon Jovi were all over FB yesterday.

Ya the pic of Glenn and Deacon is so sweet. Not that I have been to many concerts, but I never seen anything like it as far as security goes. I have some more pics i will post have to transfer from phone and weed out the so-so ones. I forgot to mention at the end when they say their goodbyes and wave to audience, as Joe came to our side to exit the stage, I was jumping up and down yelling "JOE" and he began to jump up and down too while waving with both hands. I would like to think it was just for me 😉 but probably wishful thinking! Ha! Ha! I tried taking a shot while it was happening but it was a blur because my husband nudged me saying come on lets go😑 I couldn't believe it!! (Jealous) ha ha. That moment is burned in my memory. Wish I was going tonight. Have fun TopKat!

Awesome! And good for you that you had the courage to try for the photos! I saw them the year before Glenn passed away, but I was too scared to get my phone out! I wish I had some candids from that concert.
I love and respect Don Henley, truly, but I can't really say I love the "no photos" policy.
Anyway, thanks again for sharing! 💗

So I was able to snag some last minute not-too-expensive tickets and saw them last night at Toyota Center in Houston!!

I’d been watching ticket prices over the last week or so and noticed they were dropping. The show was pretty much sold out Friday night, and it would have been hard to go anyway then because I was really tired after a long, busy week. But luckily there were still some available for Saturday night.

The concert was awesome. The guys seemed much more “on” than when I saw them last time, especially Don. He was more energetic and in the moment singing his leads. He said the music was Glenn’s legacy and talked about Deacon having big shoes to fill. He also made a joke thanking the audience for risking their lives coming to the concert. He said something after that but some drunk loudmouth behind us was yelling and I couldn’t hear what Don said. He was referring to the Coronavirus, I believe.

Deacon sounded better than ever, and looked really moved by all the applause he was receiving. He said the audience reaction helps him a lot. Vince got to play a couple of leads, including on TIE. His backing vocals behind Don on Boys of Summer were great - they really sounded good together. He hardly spoke during the show.

Joe and Timothy were wonderful and did their usual routines engaging the audience. Steuart played well. Security was super vigilant about videos. I’ll be surprised if any footage shows up from last night, but who knows. Anyway, I’m really glad I went.

Glad you got to see them Delilah. I saw Don Henley in Little Rock on the same day as Trump's inauguration and when he first came out he thanked everyone for coming out to get a break from the world that has gone "Batsh*&t Crazy!"

Pretty sure it has become "sh*&tier and crazier" since then!

Was wondering if concert attendance will start to drop now as well with the increased risks of travel and being in large crowds.

I did see one guy in the crowd at the Atlanta Eagle's concert last month wearing a face mask. Interestingly, the woman he was with was not wearing one. I wasn't sure what to make of that!

Luckily for us, the drunk loudmouth at our concert wasn't within sight or hearing distance of us. (But I know he was there - he is always there at every concert - unfortunately!)

Hopefully next year this time the world will have a little more sanity and we can all be a little more optimistic.
