I’m 15 and have been a heavy Eagles fan for a little over 4 years, however I’ve never seen them live. A few mounts ago my parents surprised me with tickets to one of their early April Shows in San Francisco. I was extremely excited, but with the recent cancelation of all California events through March, I’m scared of the possibility that the show I’m going to may be canceled to. Does anyone think that if their California shows are canceled they will add more dates in places close to the original dates?

I would say that they will be rescheduled not cancelled, KOH. If not you’ll surely get your money back.

I think WF is right.
It does make me think about the guys' ages and how they are vulnerable, exposing themselves to so many people across the country.

You’re right. If it means they stay safe I would definitely be willing to wait for a new date.

The ages of many of the fans too would put them in the medium-high risk zones, probably safer for the general public and the performers.

I also agree that it was wise of them to cancel the concerts. Don, Joe and Tim are all over 70. A couple of the other guys are in their 60's. They are all in the high risk category. Plus as others have said, many of their fans going to the concerts are in the 50 to 70 plus age category. Better to be safe than sorry.

Yeah - In the past, they usually reschedule shows that are cancelled. But, there have been exceptions, although that's not been their old norm.

Good luck KOH,..I’m sure they will reschedule but unsure with timing. It’s going to be interesting to see how all these concerts That have been postponed will be fit in. I got my mom tickets for The Beach Boys March 28 (Christmas present) at The Oakdale (5,000) seater. The theatre rep told me they are just rescheduling 2 weeks worth for now and see how everything plays out, yet said it’s been a nightmare rescheduling those shows I can’t imagine how these big places are going to do it all. It’s too early to say what will happen KOH, fingers crossed it’ll all work out

Note on Eagles' web site and Facebook page:

The remaining concerts of the “Hotel California" 2020 Tour are being rescheduled for a later time. Notifications of rescheduled concert dates will be made as soon as possible.

This is complicated, so we ask for your patience and understanding.

Meanwhile, stay safe.

I can imagine how hard it will be when most of those places are baseball/basketball/football venues. What a nightmare to try and figure that all out.

A couple weeks ago on TV one of the covid 19 updates, they said it might be 2022 before any live concerts. I hope not the guys aren't getting any younger. They're all turning 73, Don in July, Tim in Oct and Joe in Nov. This is hitting the live shows industry very hard.

Thanks for posting that, scamp. It is a shame how this pandemic is affecting almost every aspect of our lives. My personal hope is that the band is using this time off to focus on writing and recording solo material. Since I was never in agreement with the band performing as the Eagles without Glenn, I personally would rather see them use their creative energy on their solo work.

I read somewhere that Irving Azoff said that it would likely be 2022 before they toured again because they didn't want to play to a crowd of half capacity or anything like that, they wanted to come back 100%, and for the safety of the artists, crew, and audience. (For all of his artists). I wonder if Don, Joe, and Tim will still be up to it, they'll be in their mid-70s by then. I would love to see a new solo album from Don come out of this, it's been a few years!

Hi Groupies - sending greeting wish wishes you and your family are safe. Well, I most certainly agree with you ! I can't see anyone touring next year. That will probably not happen until a vaccine comes out.

Thanks New Kid, I hope you and your family are staying safe too! It's hard to imagine any any concerts for a while. I read that Joe's doctor told him to stay home, because of his age, I'd imagine Don and Timothy are in the same boat.
