February 2021 seems rather optimistic.

Just my personal opinion, but I would never take a cruise now or next year. Not until they come up with some kind of vaccine.

You'd think a lot of people would feel that way. I went to see what the prices were -figured they'd be lower - but they still cost a pretty penny (IMHO). Even more surprisingly, a good many of them have sold out.

Guess we have a lot of hearty souls out there!

Absolutely. It's just more madness that will lead to an even bigger outbreak. We are not ready to open up, at least to that degree. Concerts, cruises, beaches, etc all need to wait. It's just not smart.

I can't believe how expensive that cruise is ! Especially with everything going on. You think they would lower the price to get more people.

NKIT - ITA. This is a crazy world we are living in. There is no way I would consider forking out huge amounts of money on something like this right now given all the uncertainty we are living with. Sure, you may get your money back if it gets cancelled, but, personally, I wouldn't pin my hopes on anything this risky.

Celebrity like cruises are always expensive. They are never cheap. For other cruises, we can pay that much for two people.

Also i don't think they are going to make this cheaper especially when its a year out or in this case 7 months out. I was checking cruises for my birthday in February 2022 and it hasn't went down. They are making cruises cheaper for this year during the pandemic because they know people would still cruise while there's a pandemic.

Looks like this event has been delayed another year - new dates are Feb. 14-18, 2022. It’s not clear if Don will still be involved.

Thanks for the update, Delilah. TBH, I'm not at all surprised. I think it was the wise thing to do - as many of us said previously, the Feb. 2021 date was an ill-conceived idea from the beginning.

A smart move. So sad that they're still having to do this, though!

I'm very surprised to read that Shun! I would have thought that the last place people would want to be during a pandemic is a cruise ship. We have heard of people being confined to cabin due to positive cases and ships not allowed to dock! Far too risky IMHO. I'm not surprised this one has been postponed

Yep - These are crazy times. I don't know who is more irresponsible to go forward with cruises during a pandemic - the cruise line or the passengers? I guess both share equally in the blame. Scary stuff.

It looks like Don will be performing at next year’s Rock Legends Cruise after all, along with The Immediate Family, the Danny Kortchmar group that recently covered “New York Minute.” And Don has 3rd billing.

Looks like Don has dropped to 4th billing but he’s still on the roster for RLC lX 2022. A lot of the cabins have already sold out. There doesn’t seem to be any info on COVID-19 vaccine requirements.

Hi Delilah - Hope all is well with you and your family. I believe that cruise ships are requiring proof that people are vaccinated in order to book/take a cruise. I saw on the news that Carnival and some of the other big cruise lines are requiring this. I don't know if I would personally take a cruise yet. That cruise is too expensive for me. I personally don't care for most of the bands/groups - not my type of music. But, for people who do enjoy those groups, it sounds like it could be fun for them.

Looks like the 2022 Cruise IX is sold out! Hope everyone stays safe and Don has his booster shot!

Thank you, New Kid. We are doing well.

It seems that cruises would be requiring proof of vaccination but some states are resisting those requirements. Anyway I just read about one ship where 10 people tested positive for COVID; the article didn’t say if they were vaccinated or not. I don’t think I would choose to be on a cruise yet either.
