Yes I am the current caretaker -- although I have NO idea how the rosary beads ended up with me! It will take me just a little longer to get them to you; after this remark, I'm looking for a priest to deliver them. :D Not to worry Dreamer -- I'm giving him directions to your house too!

I'm guessing it's because it is a 2006 pick that would have only been available in England and Europe. I recall seeing a 2006 Timothy pick that went for some ridiculous price. There was also a set of five 2006 picks that started at $300!

lol! I collected Fleetwood Mac LPs for a few years before I finally got around to buying a record player to actually play them on. Once I did, I was so dismayed by the crappy sound I never played them again. I use the record player to pile CDs on now. ;) But I still collect LPs and indeed have added many Glenn Frey and Eagles records to my stash. I also bought a copy of Don's first album and brought it with me to Phoenix in case he was signing autographs at the AHI concert in 2006, but no such luck!

Holy crap! I just realized that guy plagiarized the bio I wrote for GFO!

"GLENN FREY the multi-talented mastermind behind the Eagles (and gifted solo artist in his own right)"

"But it's not all work and no play. When not working, Glenn gets to spend more time with the family. In his words, "My first commitment is to them." He's also had a lot of opportunities to indulge his fondness for golf, a game at which he excels. He has golfed in several celebrity and pro-am tournaments, and possesses one of the coveted spots in the renowned Pebble Beach tournament."

That autograph looks ok to me. Lissa, your 'Live' album signed is a beautiful sight! That was the insert I sent off to the Eagles band address in the hope that he might sign it.

GFOL

Just realized that if you rearrange the letters of this acronym, they spell "Golf"! lol

It is cool that it's moved up onto the first page of Google for certain keywords (especially since it used to be WAY further down before traffic started to increase), but I'm still miffed at Google's new algorithm, put into place last spring, which de-indexed almost all of the subpages of sites created after January of 2005, including mine. Who knows when their machines will decide that my site is worthy of a deep search crawl by their stupid Googlebot. :(

I'll be honest with you. I'm the last person to give fashion advice. I am still wearing clothes I got in 1993. In fact, the pink shirt I wore to Pebble Beach was a hand-me-down from my older sister which I received in 1992. Now THAT is just sad, my friends.

But hey, it wasn't like I was trying to impress Glenn Frey with how stylin' I was. That would definitely be a lost cause. So, I am content to be the uncool, plain-dressed, plain-looking but devoted fan. lol

When I got the second Photobucket shirt with more avatars I nearly ruined it by washing it by hand - some of the colours ran! I had to wash it in the machine straight afterwards and now it's fine.

I have so many T shirts now it's crazy - even going back to the old 1995 ones.

I know the movie gets a lot of criticism, but it is Glenn's largest role, so I think it's worth buying. And there is a nice moment where he's lying flat on a mattress, and another where he's writhing in the dirt under a shed in order to sneak into it and blow it up. He also looks nice in the jungle in that white partially unbuttoned shirt (a vast improvement over his looks in the winter-part under all those layers. lol)

I don't think you'll regret your purchase!

It's Kirshner.

I love how not only Henley and Leadon but also Meisner and Feldon (SIC) had 'Arfos' (SIC) and then how it says 'Glen' and 'Already One', 'Doolin Daltons' and 'Peaceful Easy Feelin''. With a description of that quality I wouldn't go anywhere near it. I doubt the quality is any better than what I already have.

I thought the same thing, Julie. I would be more than a little nervous about what I was getting. (Of course, I just recently got burned from a seller who misrepresented a Christmas gift I bid on for my son - so I'm back to being a paranoid e-bayer)

sodascouts
01-27-2007, 01:30 PM
Kirshner has been up a zillion times on Ebay. I certainly recognized it as such, and I'm sure other hard-cores did, too. I think it's safe to say that obtaining Kirshner is not why hard-core Glenn fans drove this up to such a high price.

I would have to agree with you about it being too high a price for those videos - but I guess for some people money is not an object. And yeah, unless rorimom is off somewhere and forgets to swoop on you, you'll probably lose the LPs to her. You never know, though!

That looks like Glenn's signature on Desperado. I think OOTN is all fake. I'm not familiar enough with Don's signature to say for certain. If I had to guess I would say the BTPB one is closest. There seems to be a lot of variation in both the 'Ds' and the 'Ys' at the end of the surname.

Very cool, RG. I like this. I actually have this same sleeve (and record) that is signed by Glenn. It is one of my previous ebay purchases. While I can't be 100% sure the signature is authentic, I'm pretty sure it is. This is actually the only signed item I ever bought off of ebay and I did some homework before bidding on it to try to determine if it was authentic. I framed and matted it and it hangs right over my desk here at home so that Glenn is always looking down on me when I'm at my pc. If I hung this up at work, I'm afraid I wouldn't get my job done. :D

I went over to ebay immediately after the MusiCares ceremony and won a copy of Don's Tribute Journal, and it came yesterday. It is HUGE, over 150 pages a bet, filled with great pictures and thank-you pages from artists such as Sheryl Crow, Sting, James Taylor, the Dixie Chicks; venues such as Madison Square Garden, Nokia Theater L.A.; magazines including InStyle, People, and Variety; Buena Vista Motion Pictures & Music Group (that is Disney & Mickey Mouse is on that page); and others like a dentist, a CPA, lots of lawyers, Capitol Records, Virgin records, Hilton hotels, Continental airlines, etc. It is very nicely done--a wonderful tribute.

Not sad at all, RG. Since my fandom started I've bought the Allnighter, HC and Live on vinyl, all on Ebay - mainly for the artwork admittedly, as we have no way of playing them either. If you win the postcard, would you scan it in? I'd love to get a good look at it!

OMG - I love that first magnet. I, obviously won't bid against the two of you, but I am going to contact the seller after the auction to see if there are others available.

And FP - good luck on the postcard. Hopefully, you should get it - it is just meant for you. :)

Maleah, it's absolutely gorgeous! I've bought the CD/DVD that advertises and it's great.

Look, another Japan Allnighter programme! I don't think I'll be able to bid on this as it comes up in the middle of the night for me.

Anybody want to have this emblazoned across their chest at their next concert?

Hmmm - I'll have to think about that Soda. After all, I already had Glenn Frey emblazoned across my chest at Pebble Beach. If I wear this, Glenn may think I'm weird!
