Don't know when on-sale date is but ILAA is now listing July 17th date at the Borgata Casino.

Thanks for the heads up, C7L! Even though I have no way of getting there, Borgata still holds memories for me from two years ago, when Glenn did a solo show, and PLS and Soda missed it due to unexpected events.

You can read some reviews here:

Thanks for posting that link to those old review, gef! I haven't read them in ages. I was laughing out loud.

I'm wondering tho, who was that strange woman posting under my name? No way could I have ever been so shallow!

Oh, you all know that's a lie. And btw, I still have the goobered on shirt!

I don't think dreamer or I told this story after Charlottesville:
Before the show at our ILAA dinner, dreamer and I sat down at a table that was occupied two other people, a married couple.

Before we were even in our chairs, the man looked at dreamer and said, "I remember you from Atlantic City, you were rushing the stage and as you passed by me in the row, you told me if I didn't get out of your way, you were going to crush my toes!"

We didn't recognize them, and I'm sure dreamer and I had totally dumbfounded looks on our faces, but I recovered and said something like, "Yeah, that sounds like our Kay!"

After speaking with them (they were incredibly fun and nice), dreamer and I realized that we did indeed remember them from the Borgata and that they had been sitting at the end of our row, so we did pass by them in a huge hurry.

I know dreamer would never say anything like that to someone, (he was joking and funny throughout dinner so I'm positive he was kidding.) But then again the entire thing is kind of a blur. I hope we didn't smash the man's toes in our rush! :?

Thanks for the heads-up Zermie but...

Holy CRAP! Check out these prices, people!

Golden Circle $501.00
Floor Seating $396.00
Riser Rows A-L $296.00
Riser Rows M-Y $196.00

And the price of ILAA tickets...

5 Star Package Price: $ 595.00 - 1495.00
At first I was confused by the two-tier pricing, but then I saw that some 5 star packages have seats in the first 10 rows of the risers - I'd guess those are the $595. First ten rows on the floor: $1495.

4 Star Package Price: $ 395.00 - 795.00
Again, the risers/floor distinction. I find it amusing that the 4-star package offers seats in the first 20 rows of the risers as if that's a prize, when you can see from the row lettering (A-Y) that there are only 25 rows in the risers, period.

So here ILAA is taking over not only the front seats of the floor, but the front seats in the tiers. Special for the Borgata, or the shape of things to come?

OMG!

I was thinking I had enough saved up for ILAA seats for one show! If this continues as the tour does, it ain't happening for me! This is really ridiculous. :x

Even though I wouldn't have a hope of going there I think those prices are way too much. Who is creaming off the profits here? ILAA itself, The venue, The ticket companies, I don't somehow think its the boys themselves! My actual ticket in London had the face value of £110 on it. Considering that the ILAA price workes out at about £440ish, I'd love to know how they could justify the balance. But those prices were only HALF of whats being charged in Atlantic City!!

ILAA Cop on! The Real fans don't mind paying extra for good seats and the VIP experience, but don't want to feel ripped off either!!

Just doing some random checking yesterday and I pulled up a third row center seat for face. I had to call them to make sure. So I took it then booked my flight etc. The venue only holds 2,400 people so it should be a very intimate affair indeed. Will also stay for the added second show on the 19th. The good news is ILAA does not have VIP tickets (at $1,500) for that one. Tickets go on sale Saturday. Wish me luck. So far my ticket-angel has been smiling on me lets hope she continues to do so.

Anyone else going to the Borgata?

BTW: I found a reasonable hotel 7 miles from the venue-a HoJos no less-for half the price of the Boardwalk hotels. Got really great traveler's reviews if your looking for a place to stay.

ILAA is now selling tickets for the 2nd Borgata show. :( Drats! Still hope to get a good ticket for that show too. Wish me luck tomorrow folks.

Also, Kay what row were you guys sitting in when you rushed the stage and how was security at the Borgata. What about cameras? Are they easy to get in?

It took me 5 hrs but I finally got front row for the July 19th Borgata show. Changed hotels after reading some bad reviews about HoJos. Peeling wall paper, parking problems and the smell of Indian food drove me to the Sheraton. Can't afford the Bogata but I don't want to get bitten by bed-bugs either.

Anyone else going to the Borgata shows?

I've never been to the Borgata but I seem to remember that at Glenn's show you could stand at the stage. This is the Eagles, though, so things will probably be different.

Thanks Nancy.

Got an even better front row seat this morning-right in front of Timmy my fav-for the July 19th show. Am going to sell the other one if anyone is interested. It's Joe's side Section 500-Front Row. I'll sell it for face-$396. I may have a buyer but am not sure. So, if anyone is interested PM me.

Well I just got back from making a dry run over to the Borgata and the jitney I was on took us right past the Eagles' semis. There must have been 8 or 10 of them out in back of the casino. This was about 9:30 this morning. Tried checking out the venue, which was upstairs, but got shooed away by some roadie. Damm.

Only 7 hours to go but it'll take me that long to just to get my jeans on. Hah! Hah! Don't believe a word of what they say about sixty being the new forty. We may have more hair and less wrinkles than our mothers did at sixty but, when I was forty, all I had to do was throw on a pair of jeans and a tee shirt and I was good to go. Not so anymore.

Atlantic City fans came to par-tee :P last night and the Eagles came to play-a perfect combination! :D They weren't as hot as Philly but the good news is we got the full meal deal sans about 10 minutes. They only did one encore instead of two. I don't keep set-lists but I can tell you for sure that they didn't do Henley's ASWTDID and Walsh's RMW. No flashers but lots of dancing-even high-rolling goombas were up moving their Florsheim clad feet to the beat.

Speaking of feet, I have so many bllisters on mine from walking around AC and Philly and dancing at the shows that I think I'm just going to rest my tootsies today.

More to Come!

Yes, I missed it too but the good news is Timmy did 3 songs including my favorite, ICTYW. For some odd reason he didn't do it in Newark for the May 25th show. I'm sure you'll get two encores. I was surprised we got a full concert last night to tell you the truth and if they only cut two songs-so be it. Let's see what happens tomorrow night! Maybe two encores. Never know.

Hi all ! New poster here. I was at the yesterday's show at the Borgata as well as at the MSG show in NYC in May. The shows were basically identical - same setlist as far as I remember.

As far as cameras at the Borgata - they don't search the bags but they have the toughest security I've ever seen at a concert. They were busting people left and right. First offense - they only gave you a warning. But I heard from someone who was outside that they kicked out one woman (probably second offense) and she was pleading with the security guard to let her back in, since she paid $500/ticket. So, film at your own risk.
That said, I did film one song from Borgata and a lot of songs from the MSG. You can check them out on YouTube under Broadway333 user ID.

Whoever is going on Saturday, you are in for a treat !

How horrible for that woman, to be thrown out after paying all that money! Hopefully they let her back in.

Siny, welcome to the Border and thanks for the links to youtube. I'm glad you had a great time. Sorry to hear about that security though. I thought the Eagles were happy about photographs now, but not videos.

C7L, hope the blisters are getting better!

carol7lynn
07-19-2008, 09:15 AM
I didn't see them kick anyone out but I did see security take one woman's camera right out of her hands  and she was with the high rollers in the front row! I was two rows in back of her so this isn't second hand news. I figured that would happen after reading how tight security was at a recent Stevie Nicks show. Glad I left mine back in the room!

Glenfrey...-Thanks they are much better after I spent all day yesterday resting my tired old tootsie just for tonight.

Like I said, that was the tightest security I've ever seen at a concert. As soon as someone took their camera out, the guards were all over them. And I don't think they were their regular staffers either - looked like they brought in additional reinforcements. Of course, it was not that hard to police a relatively small venue like that. But I see there are some YouTubes from the Philly show and plenty from the MSG.

carol7lynn
07-19-2008, 12:51 PM
Siny,

I've seen worse. In fact it happened at a Stevie Nicks concert at the Soboba Casino in California in May 2007. Security literally man-handled women at the stage during Stevie's infamous Edge walk when such behavior is not only expected but encouraged. Don played the same venue a couple months later and actually stopped the show and gave them a stern lecture and told them to back off.
