Every time I slip on a pair of Frye boots before I ride, I'm reminded of Glenn. BTW, on their site, there's a photo of a vintage pair of cowboy boots that look just like the ones he wore in the '70s. They have the raised stitching on the vamp.

Wow Buffy, I had not heard that Tim L was a free agent. I loved watching him pitch! I knew he had been injured but did not know @ the surgery. Once the 'stros went to the AL, I lost track of the NL. Sorry, this is best discussed in the Sports thread.
I turned on my car radio today to the Steve Dahl show on WLS am and heard him say, "I'm an analog guy in a digital world." :) Not too surprising, I guess, since he and Joe have been friends for years.

At work we have lots of computers (well who doesn't?) and they are each given a name so we can access them over the network. A new virtual machine has been set up for me and it's been named, according to current naming convention and without input from me, after a malt whisky. Yes, it starts with "Glen".
I just received an email from Amazon recommending Glyn Johns' book Sound Man based on my recent activity. UtW referenced this book in a different thread. I think I'm going to order it because it sounds pretty interesting and it got decent reviews.
