Re: Jackson Browne
That sounds like an amazing show. Someone who can come out and wing it... impressive! He's so talented. What an initimate setting too, I'd be in heaven. As I mentioned a few months ago, when I saw him, his voice, after all these years, is remarkable. He still sings in the same key 40 years later... that is unbelievable. I'm happy it was as good as you had hoped for!

Re: Jackson Browne
I can't stop thinking about that concert the other night! I almost felt like we were all just sitting around in a living room with Jackson, and he was playing whatever he felt like playing, and also taking requests from the crowd. It was a surreal experience, and one I hope to repeat someday!

Re: Jackson Browne
Cool concept of not having a setlist. How neat!! Glad you had fun Carla.

Re: Jackson Browne
Aw, I'm thrilled you had such a great time, Carla! I was blown away when I saw Jackson back in May. You're making me desperate to see him again!

Re: Jackson Browne
Here's Jackson doing Nightingale - just heard it thanks to Witchy Mummy and Toonlass - and I actually prefer it to the Eagles version (GASP)!

Re: Jackson Browne
Soda, I agree that Jackson does a really good version of this. BUT, better than the Eagles version - uhmm - I don't think so!

Re: Jackson Browne
it is a great song when the gospel aspects are emphasized (like in Clyde's version.)
Kinda cool when he reaches into the Phil Spector thing too!
A bunch of songs sound best when they are pared down to their basics.... I sure loved the first 3 JB albums..... they sound almost live--> they are so immediate.
