Yeah, and I think they've learned the hard way to never say never. Does the phrase 'Hell Freezes Over' come to mind? :hilarious:
Thanks Koala!
LOL! There's a mom for ya!
I love to hear things like that. Once again, Timothy seems like such a great guy.Quote:
Schmit's flattop was growing out and his horizons broadening by the time he and three Encina High School classmates became the New Breed, a British Invasion-inspired group that had a local hit with the song "Green Eyed Woman." Schmit sees his old bandmates every time he comes to town.
"We are still close, and a lot of that has to do with Tim's efforts," says George Hullin,62, a Sacramento insurance broker who was the band's drummer. "He is very grounded for being in such a super group. He has never forgotten his roots."
Thanks Koala for finding that!!!
Ahhhhh, to be Timothy's muse! :fainted:
San Diego Union-Tribune article from 12/18 is now posted on Timmy's website.......
Just found this and don't believe it's been posted yet even tho it's dated Oct 19th. Sorry if it's a repeat. It's by a 14 year old soccer player who also has a band. Apparently she got to meet Tim.

Last Monday, my band, The Raymies, got to go up to Los Angeles and sit in on Timothy B. Schmit, from The Eagles, rehearsal! It was so cool and he was so good! He played songs from his new album. He was rehearsing to go out on tour, and his band was so talented!
Here's the picture posted with it. Lucky girls!! I need to do some editing! Lol

Lucky, lucky girls - I wonder if they have any idea how many others ladies would have died to be in their shoes!
A new Timothy article has been posted on the website Spinner (a canadian website all about music)
http://www.spinner.ca/2010/01/12/tim...and-solo-work/
This man is so awesome!!! I love that he is already writing new songs! I'm loving Expando... but it's great to know he plans on doing more CD's in the future.
Cool news! You go Timothy!
Wow - that is impressive that Tim is already working on some new material. I'm so glad that is enjoying his solo career so much these days. Way to go, Timothy!!! Hey Tim, we'll be starting a little Survivor game here on The Border next week ... feel free to join us!
Rock on, Timothy! Gotta love it.
Here is a link to a BBC interview that Timothy just did. Haven't listened yet but apparently he doesn't think that the tour with Fleetwood Mac will be a go. says he also sings at least a couple of songs! Timothy starts just past 1:04:00. Going to lisyen now!

If he comes down ill, we will know it's swine flu.
Love him calling Don & Glenn "alpha dogs".
One More Mile live was FANTASTIC! And Can't Find My Way Home was unbelievable!! How does he sound so damn good ALL THE TIME? Can listen to that voice forever!
Did you notice he said Ben was at the Berkley College of Music? Doesn't he mean Boston?
I believe the Berkeley College of Music is in Boston - as weird as that sounds:)
Just listened to the BBC interview - loved 'Can't Find My Way Home' - LOVED IT!
Thanks for posting that link, GL. That really was a great interview and he really did sound great!
Did you notice he used the phrase "What a concept"? Wonder who he got that from :hmm: ;-)?
Really? Well, looks like I'm the idiot!
I thought it was the Boston School of Music? Are they the same thing or two different programs? Two different schools? Clearly, I've never applied for any music programs in Boston! :hilarious:
ETA: Ok, I think the School of Music is at BU and Berklee College of Music is it's own school, yes?
One of my friends from the Sweet board just sent me a message on Facebook. This pic was from, I'm gathering, on the radio station that Tim was on yesterday morning?

Just saw on Twitter that Tim will be on the Bob Harris Country Show on January 28.
Also, Chiara Meattelli tweeted she is preparing to interview Tim tomorrow. I'll be watching her site!
Berklee College/School of Music is an independent institute of higher learning on Massachusetts Avenue in Boston...I worked right around the corner from it when I lived up there. It's launched more than a few well-known musicians over the years (including Steve Smith who was the original drummer for Journey).
Stayed up quite a bit later this evening so I could listen to the BBC spot Timothy did Wednesday. Despite his Twitter about 'jet lag' I thought he sounded remarkably relaxed. Seems with every subsequent interview he finds a greater comfort zone. Must say his wide-ranging talent as a musician really shines in this interview -- his guitar-playing is exemplary -- and his voice on both songs was crisp and crystal-clear! I'd be thrilled to have him put out an entire CD of all-accoustic music! Have to add that I got a chuckle about his comments when the 'peacemaker' issue came up. Just hope he was paying close attention and taking notes because host/interviewer Simon Mayo referred to Timothy as the "Oasis of Calm' in the Eagles -- sounds like a great album title to me!
How am I ever going to get caught up here if everyone keeps posting links to great interviews like the BBC one? :hilarious:
I don't believe we've seen this one yet. Some of them sound basically the same but this one seemed different. Sorry if it's a repeat.

ltlh--I only found out about 1 1/2 years ago that Don, Glenn & Tim were on that Boz Scaggs song also. A certain Borderer (:soda:) was in my garage during one of our vinyl get togethers and pulled out the album to show me the credits on it. Now every time I listen to that song I think to myself, how did I miss that?
Same here Willie! I recently discovered it as well and now when I listen to it I think HOW in the world did I miss that? They're so easily recognizable there! I can especially pick Don out but what smooth harmonies! Love it!
I apologise for going slightly off-topic but the Boz Scaggs' song 'Look what you've done to me' is very similar to another song that I know. I can not for the life of me think of the title, or who sang it. Can anyone please rescue me from going  ?
Looks like Parachute is getting some radio airplay-at least in England on this FM 92.6 channel in St. Albans Herfordshire.

Here's Tim's part...
Closer to home, what about Gary Cherone? We spied the Extreme singer - who succeeded Sammy Hagar in Van Halen - with Kramer at Saturday’s sold-out Cheap Trick show. Hmm. (Eagle bassist Timothy B. Schmit was also backstage.)
That was a nice postive article!
