2020 Rock Hall of Fame Nominees Announced

I adore Motorhead (I wish I had an umlaut key!) and Priest so I am pleased to see them nominated, get Thin Lizzy in too and I'll be a happy man.

That said, I still abhor the entire pretense. The fact that, as they did with Yes and the wonderful Chris Squire, the entirety of the classic line up of Motorhead (my favourite three piece of all time and a massive influence on pretty much every hard rock, punk and metal band going) are now sadly passed despite having been valid for years beforehand is just one of the things that makes me see red with the whole thing.

The rock n roll hall of fame is biased, makes no sense having rnb, rap etc in there. Eddie Trunk is against hall of fame as well since metal is often ignored.it makes no sense how these great bands like motorhead, iron maiden, ozzy (solo), Judas priest, Dio...etc all not in.....and these noms might get in before them is :brickwall:ridiculous. How did Joan Jett make it before Benatar? Lenny wrote "hate myself for living you", for a little trivia...

FF - Agree ! Whitney had a beautiful voice but it certainly was not R & R.
I love the Doobies and think they and Pat Benatar are good choices. However, I feel the Notorious BIG is a poor choice. Especially when you consider Joe should have gotten in years ago for his pre-Eagles work. For the most part not great choices this year IMHO.

Thin Lizzy, Judas Priest not inducted? Some rapper and Whitney Houston in? You have to be kidding me! I hate rap and hiphop, I personally think it's not music and I don't care for that culture, largely based on the content in the lyrics and the lifestyle, especially younger "artists". But it's certainly NOT rock and roll! And while WH has my respect, she's not rock and roll, sorry. She's more respectable than Notorious BIG, lol.

I'm happy the Doobies and Benatar are in.
