Coming Up Jan. 27: Underrated Eagles Songs Survivor
Inspired by a recent thread, Dreamer and I decided it might be fun to do a Survivor for the most underrated Eagles songs. In order to determine which ones to include, we used that thread as well as other relevant threads like the Survivors to determine what people included the most. Obviously, it's debatable - this doesn't match up with my list - but we tried to make it as equitable as possible (special thanks to Dreamer for all her hard work quantifying what songs got the most mentions).
Those songs are, in order of release:
Most of Us Are Sad
Bitter Creek
Desperado / Doolin-Dalton Reprise
James Dean
Ol' 55
Good Day in Hell
My Man
After the Thrill Is Gone
Too Many Hands
Pretty Maids All in a Row
The Last Resort
Those Shoes
The Sad Cafe
Long Road Out of Eden
Do Something
Get ready to start on Tuesday!

Seconded. :)
Except that I'd make that 'a very interesting one'.
Re: Coming Up Jan. 27: Underrated Eagles Songs Survivor
Really looking forward to playing this, it'll be my first Survivor on here! :partytime:
That list looks right to me based on most of the opinions I've read - they tend to be fairly popular amongst Eagles fans yet not get that much wider recognition. I'm slightly surprised not to see Outlaw Man, but that's just about the only one I can think of that to me seems genuinely both underrated and well liked. Most of the other songs I see on underrated Eagles songs lists tend to be less popular (for instance, I personally love Take The Devil but appreciate that quite a few people don't care for it), have too many detractors (King Of Hollywood springs to mind here) or are rarely praised highly (say, Nightingale or Hollywood Waltz).
I must admit I really like every song on this list, although I do have my favourites - there's probably about 3-5 there that I would be very happy to see win this Survivor.
Re: Coming Up Jan. 27: Underrated Eagles Songs Survivor
I would have preferred to see both Out Of Control & Outlaw Man rather than MOUAS & BC. A couple of the others I don't consider underrated (Ol'55 especially). I was hoping we would do another Survivor game soon. I'm not entirely sure what I want to win. I notice each album has two selections except Eagles with one & OTB with four: I suppose I would have included Chug All Night, but if it wasn't mentioned enough to qualify, fair enough (I should have included it in my list).
Re: Coming Up Jan. 27: Underrated Eagles Songs Survivor
I agree that this should be a really interesting and unpredictable game too. I'm okay with the list of songs included, although it's not what my list would look like either. My list would include Certain Kind of Fool, Try and Love Again, and King of Hollywood for sure. Looking forward to a fun game though.
Re: Coming Up Jan. 27: Underrated Eagles Songs Survivor
You can see from the other thread that my list wasn't quite the same as this one either - but we were going for a list that reflected what the most people on the board considered underrated.
Re: Coming Up Jan. 27: Underrated Eagles Songs Survivor
I agree with the list, about 95% anyway! I wish VOL was on there but I pretty much agree with the rest.
This should be fun! Normally I've been able to predict the winner, or the top 2-3. This one will be interesting.
I'll start going through my iTunes and making a list. I already know which I want to win though....It may or may not surprise some people but it's not a rocker like I'm known for liking. And it's one that's grown on me recently. And it wouldn't have mattered if VOL was on here, I'd still pick this one.

Good deal, this will be very interesting! It's gonna be hard for me though!
Re: Coming Up Jan. 27: Underrated Eagles Songs Survivor
I'd much rather see Outlaw Man included than Doolin' Dalton. Hard to think of a song that they continually do in concert as underrated. 10,000 people clapping for the song every night tells me it's not underrated at all. Personally, I think it's the most overrated song in their entire history!
