OMG - those pics are incredible. Make no mistake about it folks, these guys are some mighty fine looking 60-somethings! Love Glenn's purple shirt almost as much as the fuschia one, Don's hair length is looking great, and I even like Joe's hair length now that he isn't slicking it all back with gel. But, I am in total agreement that it is inexplicable that this Sacramento publication would not include a picture of their very own 'white boy'!

Good Review
I found this bit particularly touching:
Re: Sacramento, April 27, 2010
The show last night was AWESOME! From my 4th row center seat they all looked and sounded fabulous. I loved being so close to them and I hope my pictures turned out ok... we shall see when I get home.
The show started a little bit late but they guys made up for it by playing until almost 11:45 pm. They started with Seven Bridges Road and ended with a four song encore that included Take It Easy, Rocky Mountain Way, All She Wants to Do is Dance, and Desperado. And of course, in between, were selections from LROOE and the past. I kept track of the entire set list if anyone wants to know what it is. I was thrilled that No More Cloudy Days was in the line up tonight. And i have to say that hearing No More Walks in the Woods and Long Road Out of Eden performed live brought me a whole new appreciation for those songs which are ones I will occasionally pass up when I listen to their album. Don's voice was really spot on last night and when he sang Waiting in the Weeds it was amazing.
For all you Tim fans you will be happy to know that even though the Sac Bee didn't give him much love the crowd did. When Glenn did the intros Timmy got a HUGE, long, screaming, cheering, and shouting ovation. And when Tim got his turn to speak or perform it was the same thing. He was really in fine voice last night too and he looked really fantastic in this grey mandarin style shirt and black jeans. He had a ton of family in the crowd and I think half the people in the section next to me were related to him.
Don looked mighty fine too and had that fuzzy face thing going on that is very appealling to me (oh and the plaid shirt that is so "Don"). He seemed to be having a lot of fun last night which was nice to see (sometimes he seems so terribly serious). When his time to speak he said "its nice to be here in Sacramento on music business instead of political business. I haven't had much luck with politics here". Then he asked the crowd to shout back some song titles in order - How Long Busy Being Fabulous I Don't Want to Hear Any More Guilty of the Crime and said that "this goes out to the California Legislature".
Joe is the other one who got the most love from the crowd. Most of the people sitting around me were big Joe fans (probably something to do with the fact that we were pretty much in front of him). Unlike the reviewer, I like Joe's voice just the way it is and it sounded terrific to me - just like Joe's voice is supposed to sound. And no one could argue that his guitar playing was superb. He really ripped on everything he played. And this whole 'man in black" thing is really looking good on him as well as the longer hair.
As for Glenn, he looks almost as good in purple as he does in pink. He was having a great time up there - grinning and joking and dancing (I love it when he dances at the keyboard in ASWTDID). I was a little annoyed that he didn't seem to get as much appreciation from the crowd when he was intoduced but did but I did my best to cheer and shout for him. As I said I was very happy to see NMCD in the line up but the lessening of his lead vocals (and the reason behind it) is pretty obvious to me and made me a bit wistful.
After eight years it was so exciting to see them live and every once in a while I had to mentally pinch myself to be sure it was real. So worth the money and the trip!!

Awesome review Cami! I'd much rather read a review from a fan who "gets it" than a 'professional critic' any day of the week. Can't wait for those pictures! Have a continued great time on your '2010 excellent Eagles adventure'!!!

Sounds like a great show. I am also loving Don's longer hair. 8)
Love this line: "At moments -- and if one could see past Henley's checkered dad shirt -- it still seemed like 1979."
Checkered dad shirt--my feelings exactly! :brickwall:
