Happy 31st Birthday to Soul Searchin'.
"You know you can't change this world, but you can change yourself.." Happy Birthday, Soul Searchin' ! Love it!
Happy Birthday to Soul Searchin. I love all the songs on it, my favourite is 'I Did It For Your Love'
I really don't think there is a weak song on this album
That's my favorite Soul Searchin' song, too!
But I must admit, the album also contains my least favorite song of Glenn Frey's: "Two Hearts." Ugh. I can count on one hand the songs of his I don't like, and that's at the bottom of the pile (IMHO obviously).
I've been walking at night over the summer in an effort to 'Live Right' and tonight I went for a longer than normal walk. I covered 4.5 km in 50 minutes as I listened to the entire Soul Searchin album as I walked. I must admit I still love being in my pink bubble with Glenn
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO SOUL SEARCHIN'!!!
Ain't it the truth, GA!
I love this album, too. My top 3 favorites are True Love, Soul Searchin', and I Did It for Your Love. I've told this story before, but I used to be fairly neutral about IDIFYL. Then, out of the blue, one day while listening to it, it struck a chord with me for some unexplained reason. Now, I absolutely adore it. I like all the songs on the album, but my least favorites are Let's Pretend Were Still in Love and Two Hearts.
If you have access to the CD "Glenn Frey With the Eagles & Without" (I got it from my local library), it's a radio interview in support of "Soul Searchin'" with just Glenn talking. Really good interview.
(Uhm, and if anyone really wants to hear it, let me know. I might be able to do something about it.)

IDIFYL should be better known. It's absolutely fantastic. IYL is amazing. I love the title track as well.
Happy anniversary to Soul Searchin'! I love the title track and True Love. Two Hearts is the worst on the album and perhaps of all of Glenn's solo work, imo, it sounds to me like it belongs on the soundtrack to a bad 80s movie.
