Re: RIP Kenny Rogers
I'm so sorry to hear this! I have always loved Kenny Rogers' music, ever since I was a kid. His Greatest Hits was one of the first CDs I ever bought, way back in the 90s.
We all know the huge role he played in getting Don's career started. They even did a song together called "Calling Me."
I loved "The Gambler" but an underrated song of Kenny's that I always loved was one I played at my parent's 50th anniversary:

Re: RIP Kenny Rogers
I love Calling Me.
I started to like Through the Years when the Osmonds played it in their show.
Also. I was going on IHeart Radio to listen to some of his songs and I saw he recorded Elvira with the First Edition. A song that would become the Oak Ridge Boys signature. Then finding a few years ago he recorded We've Got Tonight with Sheena Easton.

Re: RIP Kenny Rogers
I was so sad to hear of Kenny's passing Saturday. I've always loved his music. RIP Kenny.
I'm also glad he gave Don and his band Shiloh a chance and helped them get started. Sounds like he was revered by Don, too. He had very nice words to say about him.
My favorite song of his was Ruby, Don't Take Your Love to Town with his band, the First Edition.

Just found this "The Untold Truth about KR" and Don, Glenn and the Eagles are featured at about the 1:18 mark.
