Re: Reminiscing
I'm delighted you got to see the Boys, Don and the States last year Lou. I know how much it meant to you. And Steph! Well done on your expeditions. It was wonderful meeting you in Belfast.
I must say too, I was looking back on the Dublin and Belfast gigs earlier this week as they were 6 months ago exactly. How quickly the time goes. But seeing them twice in one week was just spectacular.
I just hope I get to see them again or even better to see my dream come true and experience a Glenn  solo gig some time soon.

Re: Reminiscing
It really has been a wonderful year. I got to see the Eagles in Indianapolis, Don Henley solo in Chicago and - something I never thought I'd see - Timothy B. Schmit solo in Chicago as well! What a year!

Re: Reminiscing
I didn't see Eagles in '09 either individually or collectively.
Yet it was a great year that I'll reminise over for the rest of my life.
It started out in February when I acted on the impulse to get a VOX modeling amp.
I followed that up in September by fulfulling a desire I've had all my life for all practical purposes. I finally bought a Gibson "Les Paul"...Unfortunately, I ended up getting it the same year that Mr. Les Paul passed on to greater Music.
I also completed my first year as a member here on The Border.
It has indeed been a Great Year.

Re: Reminiscing
As usual, my Eagles' year was a lot like Soda's. The only difference is that it was the first year since we met in 2005 that Soda and I weren't able to attend any shows together. I missed ya Nanc! I got to see the Eagles in Hampton in January, Don Henley solo in Norfolk in November and - something I also never thought I'd see - Timothy B. Schmit solo in New York in September where I did get the chance to meet eaglesvet (Eva)! Hopefully, 2010 will be a very productive Eagles year as well!

Um..... I bought Expando, the first solo Tim album I have ever bought.
THIS year will be my year, I hope.

Re: Reminiscing
One year ago today was the last time I saw the Eagles in concert. That concert in Columbia, Missouri was well worth the drive. It was a really fun and special evening. I had never been to Missouri and it was a nice little road trip with my friends Christi and Eric (although Eric went with us/helped drive, he did not go to the concert). We stayed at a really fun hotel and casino. We had an excellent time doing a bit of drinking and some gambling (FYI for anybody drinking and gambling in Missouri: you are only allowed ONE alcoholic drink every 30 minutes while gambling  ). I also got to meet our very own Brooke. It was only for a few minutes during intermission but Brooke is just as kind and wonderful as she is here on the Border.
Christi and I had second row seats on the very end of Tim's side. At first I didn't think it was all that great to be on the end but it actually worked out quite nicely for us. It allowed us to go on a few beer runs and bathroom breaks without having to get in other people's way and it really worked to our advantage at the end of the concert when I was able to get right up front (with security right in my face) to give the guys some roses.
Now just to refresh my memory even further with some pics of that awesome night...
