John Prine Dead from Complications due to Coronavirus at Age 73
I was afraid of this as soon as I heard he was sick with the virus; he had struggled with lung cancer in the past.
Some of you may recall that he had an Eagles connection. Glenn appeared on his album Common Sense, contributing background vocals to the title track.

R.I.P. John Prine. You will be missed!
I just found out he wrote this incredible song:

Terrible news. Lukas Nelson had posted his acoustic version of John's "Hello in There" last week .
I loved "Paradise", which I could imagine Henley doing, and "Grandpa Was a Carpenter".
I remember Beaumont DJ Gordon Baxter daily screaming, "...The whispering voice of the piney woods....YA-HOOOOO!"and then playing "Spanish Pipe Dream" (Blow Up Your TV) .
RIP, John.
Thanks for the cuts, Soda!
So sad to hear. Prayers for family.
This is so sad. I was telling Soda the other night, every single time I think of John Prine, I think of my brother singing Please Don't Bury Me - he was obsessed with that song. And Common Sense just makes me grin. I bet that's why Glenn liked it too.
I had never even heard of Angel from Montgomery until Soda mentioned it to me. It is beautiful. He was a great songwriter.
My heart goes out to John's family, friends, and fans at this sad time. I suspect he was cremated.
R.I.P. John Prine
I'd nver hear of John Prine and to me he was just another 70-something who had died of Covid 19. Just a number, not a person.
Then this morning, I heard this on the radio and he became real to me. It's John Prine's wife talking about his last few weeks.
