If you could make your own "best of" compilation of 15 songs for Glenn Frey's solo stuff, what would be on the CD?

Again I take it this is a list of 'essentials' not 'favourites'. What a shame that there has been nothing since 1995. If 'essentials':
I Found Somebody
The One You Love
Partytown
The Allnighter
Smuggler's Blues
The Heat Is On
You Belong To The City
True Love
Livin' Right
Part Of Me, Part Of You
River Of Dreams
I've Got Mine
Call On Me
Common Ground
Wild Mountain Thyme
It's very difficult to limit the number of songs to 15. :brickwall: Here's my list as of today, in no particular order other than the first two are my absolute favourites. This list could change alot from day to day, depending on my mood. Some days I feel like hearing slow songs, some days upbeat & other days a mixture.
1. The One You Love
2. After Hours
3. True Love
4. Sea Cruise
5. The Allnighter
6. Soul Searchin'
7. Kate
8. Wild Mountain Thyme
9. Who's Been Sleeping In My Bed
10. Partytown
11. Working Man (slow version)
12. That Girl
13. She Can't Let Go
14. Before The Ship Goes Down
15. Lovers' Moon
I don't know how you can include Kate, or Get Up Kate as I call it, because it's a Linda Ronstadt song on which Glenn sings lead. He has never recorded it himself. As for After Hours, all we have of that is a version sung on radio & a live version.
Actually, Glenn wrote "Get Up Kate" and Linda kindly allowed him to perform it during her shows sometimes. She sang backup for him on it.
I know he wrote it, but he didn't record it. I think it's a stretch to include the existing version on a Frey compilation.
Well, since Glenn wrote it and sings lead on it, I think it's a stretch to call it a "Linda Ronstadt song." However, why quibble over such things? These lists are just for fun, after all.
Well, yes, & I was only saying the other day how much I like the song, so you can have it, GA.
If this is 'favourites' then here goes:
The One You Love
The Allnighter
Smuggler's Blues
You Belong To The City
True Love
Soul Searchin'
I Did It For Your Love
Part Of Me, Part Of You
A Walk In The Dark
River Of Dreams
Before The Ship Goes Down
Call On Me
Common Ground
Wild Mountain Thyme
After Hours (I will succumb to others' inclusions & pretend it was recorded).
