Pat Riley (team president of the Miami Heat) is at the game, and apparently they didn't start the concert until nearly 8:30.
Jack Nicklaus is also at the concert, but here is a pic of Pat Riley:

There's also a fellow Pirates fan there who obviously checked the score of the game during intermission!
I have seen a lot of tweets that said security is being aggressive in not allowing pictures, but we still get to see some!

LOL, VA...I just thought maybe it had been longer than I realized since I'd seen Pacino!!!! But I'm having a hard time picture him OR Jack Nicholson at this concert. I thought it was just me but Bruce even raised an eyebrow!
I don't think it's a stretch for Jack Nicklaus (the golfer) to be there? I have no idea what he does these days, so I'm trusting that the person sitting near him knows what he's talking about.
I can't believe Glenn wore this during the second set! Impressed, but surprised.

You don't see this everyday. Glenn in a jersey. LOL Is this the first time since the 70s since Glenn wore a jersey on stage.
Actually, Cynd. I think Jack is a fan. Remembered in the documentary Jackson Browne talked about him and Jack backstage at one of the HFO shows and he said reporteire(SP?)
Nice pictures.
Maybe Pat Reilly gave the jersey to Glenn.
I just want to be clear, it wasn't Jack Nicholson at the concert, it was Jack Nicklaus.

Seeing Glenn in the Heat jersey reminds me of the Livin Right video, lol. (He has on a Heat jersey during part of the video)
Hi everyone, last night was great. I think it helped with it being a Friday and all the bars they have in the arena :) There was plenty of people up dancing this time (I'm sure you all know how much I hate sitting by now!)
A great moment was before the encore when everyone got their phones out and started waving them, the security just gave up :hilarious:
The set up was slightly different at the beginning, they didn't have the curtain round for the first few songs so you could see Steuart Smith and Scott Crago.
They gave a shout out to Jack Niklaus and Pat Riley as previously mentioned, I think the only other time I've seen that was for Irving Azoff in MSG.
We were sat next to a lady who had a vinyl copy of the long run which had been signed by some of the band, she was trying to get Don Henley's attention to get it signed but he just smiled and said 'that's good' or something jokey like that.
The one bad point was the two women yapping all the way through behind us. They were pretty drunk so it was more yelling, a few of us had to turn round and tell her to shut the hell up, I did it in slightly more colourful language...
She had the nerve to talk all through the Desperado-Doolin Dalton and Best of my love, pretty annoying :eyebrow:
We were sat just in front of Joe and Steuart, we always seem to get seats there :)
In the city was a high point as always, TITTL was comedy gold with everyone singing the high bits. OOTN which is one of my favourites was missing my favourite bit again, You know the bit at 'in between the dark and the light', but that's just me being picky.
Oh and most importantly ..blue shirt first half, pinkish second half and Miami Heat shirt towards the end...:hilarious: I took note this time, normally I wouldn't even have noticed!
Don did mention that this was the final leg of this tour so it doesn't look like there'll be any more additions. :-(
Thanks, Flojo, been looking forward to your review for a week now!
What is the "in between the dark and the light" bit that was missing?
Thanks for the review, Flojo!! I knew you'd have a good time!
I wouldn't find it so upsetting about it being the last leg of the tour if I thought there was a chance I'd get to hear DD/D Reprise or see Bernie on another tour or 'residency'.
Thanks for the review, Flojo. Can't find anything online in any of the newspapers.
Any apologies to one and all if I confused anyone on the Jack Nicklaus/Jack Nicholson issue. I totally misread what VA had written, I think because of the Pat Riley reference. NICHOLSON is such a sports fan that instead of paying closer attention to the name I jumped to the wrong assumption.
And SHUN, thanks for reminding me about the Nicklaus reference because I had totally forgotten. Now it all makes perfect sense!
Great review Flojo and I must say I love the Miami shirt. Great about the mobile phones coming out together, I must say I'd rather see security act to quieten those rather drunken ladies rather than try to stop people taking pics so aggressively.
Still sounds like a great time - what show are you going to next?
Thanks fo jo
MC it's the guitar bit just after that, I wouldn't call it a riff as such. As far as I remember it's not on all of the recordings, but if you listen to the song you'll probably know what I mean straight away. I do wish they had been able to get Randy Meisner on this tour, he makes all the difference to that song.
Sorry I didn't have anything more exciting to share, I think I've had a lifetime of luck on this tour already :)
GA Hartford on the 15th is our next and final show. Then it's waiting to see if we're both included in the 35% of redundancies our employer is making. Hey, maybe one of the Eagles is looking for a Captain for their superyacht :)
I loved how Glenn sent out "Take It to the Limit" to Randy and said he hoped Randy would be alright.
Flojo, I also had a constant yapper seated near me. Our seats were $400 each; I cannot imagine paying that kind of dosh and then talking over the music the whole time. Unbelievable.
Anyway! Back to the music. Did anyone notice something different about Don's voice? Specifically, he was kind of lisping, like something was wrong with his front teeth? Whatever was ailing him, he was able to rally as the show went on and did a great job.
I know we've teased Glenn about telling the same jokes, but they're still working so ya can't really blame the guy. The "plaintiff" line got such a huge laugh from the crowd that even Glenn seemed amused.
I was really happy to hear Mr. Frey say that they were inspired to do 4 and 5-part harmonies because of the Beach Boys. "We're the settlers, but they were the pioneers." I knew Frey was a fan, but never heard him specifically talk about the BB influence on Eagles harmonies.
Oh, the descending flourish (what else to call it?) - I hadn't noticed they didn't play it. I was impressed as hell with Steuart's playing on that.
Joe was brilliant, as usual. He makes it look so easy. "Life's Been Good" was a huge highlight for me. Somehow, when I saw them 2 years ago, I didn't see the backdrop video featuring Joe in a Godzilla costume destroying a city.
A review of sorts

Glenn in his Miami Heat jersey, or whatever you call a shirt that basketball players wear.

Photo "borrowed" from Eagles Fastlane fine Facebook page.
To answer his question, "Are there people who saw the Eagles in 2015 and 2013, witnessed the same set and feel robbed or bored?" Well, no I don't feel robbed because I knew that going in they'd be playing the same songs. Do I wish they had varied the set? Absolutely. But I don't get to make decisions for the band - my decision point was in buying a ticket (or not). They run their own business and they do it well. What else is there to say really? Some artists feel a great need to keep the set list consistent: Fleetwood Mac, the Police when they toured a few years ago. They have videos and lighting that have to be synced with the performance - maybe that's why, I don't know.
Now, my question is what does the number 1 on the jersey stand for? Is there a current Heat player who wears #1? It is just a jersey with a number on it? (I've had a few of those before). I wish there was a shot of his back so that I could tell.
The back says FREY. I think Pat Riley is a friend and had it made special for Glenn. I wonder if the other guys got a jersey too.
Thanks for you review flojo and glad you had a great evening! Of course, we knew you would!
Glenn is too cute in his jersey! Love it!
Glad it was another great show. I would have loved to see Glenn in that jersey - how fun that would have been!
