Re: What is your Favorite Glenn Frey Vocal?
Oh wow, that was just beautiful! Thanks for sharing it, Soda!
I wish it would have been included on the HFO dvd/cd too.
I don't know, I think might prefer the original version from young Glenn, too, but this is certainly right up there!

It's just Glenn's voice (slightly hoarse and hestitant yet strong and almost pitch perfect) accompanied by an acoustic guitar and a steel guitar. It's very melancholy.
UTW - I don't recall ever hearing a 1982 version, but there is a version around 1992 that I think he did either on the Party of Two tour with Joe or the Strange Weather tour that I think is even more beautiful than the HFO version. Do you recall any details about the '82 version - was it audio or video? It sounds very much like the '90's bootleg video that I'm thinking of.
Re: What is your Favorite Glenn Frey Vocal?
This was 1982 in Boston. It seems that Glenn liked that very intimate arrangement for his solo career and carried it forward to the MTV concert.

I followed Momma Tee's recommendation on the news thread to look at medium.com for tributes and amongst them I found https://medium.com/@gordonskene/glen...42d#.urfb1zdmo
That tribute contains a link to an mp3 version of the show. The stripped down Peaceful Easy Feeling is introduced around 15:40 and starts at 16:24.
[In this show, I love the song that begins at 1:03:30 and as a vocal it makes a nice contrast with PEF]

Wow, what a find!!! That version of PEF, All Those Lies, Don't Give Up & Glenn is really having fun! I haven't finished listening yet, but I'm so excited I just had to come back & post about it! Thanks so much, UtW!
Is there any way to save this???

Thanks. I must be losing it! I forgot to go back to listen to it! :brickwall::brickwall::brickwall:

Oh wow! This is fantastic. UTW, that other link wouldn't work for me for some reason, but this one does. And, yes, this arrangement of PEF is similar to how he performed it in the early 90's. I adore it.
