Terrorist Attacks in the United Kingdom
http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-40023488
Absolutely unbelievable! Fans just like us, simply enjoying a show, victims of a terrorist attack in Manchester. Even more tragic was that most of these fans were quite young.
One of casualties, described as a "superfan" who often posted about the singer online, reminds me of myself and many other Borderers who are so passionate about our favorites.
I just do not understand why anyone would do this.
Heartbreaking.
Prayers for those affected.
Plus, the BBC article linked above says that although the attack was yesterday, they fear more may occur. Let's pray that doesn't happen!
Re: Terrorist Attack at Concert in Manchester, UK
Such a terrible & sad thing to have happened. The following well known poem came to my mind, and I'd like to share it in honour of the innocent victims of this attack.
No man is an island entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main; if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as any manner of thy friends or of thine own were; any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind. And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.
John Donne

So sad hearing about this last night and seeing all the coverage from it. I can't imagine what they went through and what their families are going through. So many of them are so young. The girl you're talking about Soda was also huge in the "Once Upon a Time" fandom. She just met so many of the cast/crew at a fan convention a couple weeks ago and all of them are posting about her and how sweet she was.

Words fail in a situation like this but I feel like I still need to try and express my extreme sadness and sympathy for those affected. Prayers and best thoughts for Manchester. Let's hope they're wrong about more to come. So sickening.

This is soo sad and they were just kids enjoying Ariana. Innocent kids.
My thoughts and prayers goes out to the families of 22 people who died and almost the ones that were hurt.

So sad. My heart goes out to all the victims and families.
Honestly, this doesn't surprise me and was actually wondering when these bombs would hit a large venue like this. All these huge stadiums filled with people. It's very scary to go to anything like this, concert, ball games, etc.

Yes, homegrown terrorists is a huge concern in every city in the world, big or small. Whether the weapon of destruction is a bomb, giant truck, car, firearm, machete, knife, boxcutter ... it doesn't matter we live in very dangerous times.

Just want to express my extreme sorrow & prayers for those who were victims of the manics that did this.... These were very young fans, some of them were maybe even at their very first concert....Now they have this terror as their memory of it.
My heart goes out to all of Manchester.
It's sad that the world has come to this, so upsetting.
May they RIP

Thats's a very sombering fact and one which will require professional intervention to help victims families and friends as well as survivors who must cope with the horror of what they witnessed and lived through. PTSD is very real and not to be ignored. I trust there is already an effort underway to reach out to concert goers, 1st responders, police, etc All are in my thoughts and prayers. This is pure evil and must be stopped but I fear we awoke too late to the danger.
