I'm getting confused here. Bernie was obviously still here since My Man is on it, but he left and Felder joined? And Joe was already here too? Strange that they actually put out an album with personnel changes in the middle of it. But it was a great album anyway.
I've really enjoyed the celebration, too.
Re: "On the Border" Anniversary Appreciation Thread
No. What Dreamer said was correct. Felder was a late addition. Bernie was still an Eagle. All that happened is the number of members increased from four to five while the album was being made. Bernie did not leave until after One Of These Nights.
Re: "On the Border" Anniversary Appreciation Thread
Don't forget, Brooke, that there was a time when both Bernie and Felder were in the band!

Re: "On the Border" Anniversary Appreciation Thread
Is Felder on more than just the two songs on OTB?
Re: "On the Border" Anniversary Appreciation Thread
As far as I know Felder plays on Good Day In Hell and Already Gone only.
Happy 36th Birthday to "On the Border"!
Today, back in 1974, the Eagles released On the Border. We'll be celebrating that this week with a Survivor as well as just listening to it and commenting on it in the thread. Here's to On the Border!

36 Years! Wow! Still love this album! :birthday:

Happy 36th anniversary to On the Border!!!
Love this board style and how we're celebrating this week. As I've said many times, I believe On the Border is the band's most underrated album. I think our Survivor game will be very spirited as they usually are when most of the album's songs are so good.
Re: Happy 36th Birthday to "On the Border"!
I agree, Dreamer. It's underrated. I can't believe they don't play anything from it in concert anymore. And let's not forget it spawned the band's first number one single, the lovely "Best of My Love."
