Snap! Sounds as if you're still po'd. Sorry to hear that.
Yes...negative view of the staff at Red Rock...
Dont mind people singing along but you have drunks around and behind you and singing in your ear, while slobering ....as a local television commercial in Las Vegas states...Enough is enough!.
Well again the venue remember the concert was in a Vegas poolside bar. Back in the day when I was in a band and we played the local bars many the nights when we had to deal with overly lubricated bar patrons jumping on stage and joining in. Most just wanted to sing a chorus or two but some wanted to play the drums or my keyboards. :steviesmack: What can I say, booze makes people do things that they normally wouldn't do. Just chalk it up to Vegas-fever.

I have to say that I too like it when everybody sings along at the show. It's kind of this communal thing. Now if everyone's quiet and some dude is belting it out all by himself next to you... er... then not so much. I guess there's a time and a place for everything!
Re: Red Rocks Casino,Vegas-9/18/2010
I was thinking of coming over for Don's shows & seeing this one & the Fantasy Springs casino - but my plans changed & I'm coming to see the Eagles instead.
I loved seeing Don's shows last year, but I'm glad I gave this one a miss. I would have been disappointed to have made the long journey & then get treated badly by the casino staff; things like that spoil memories of the show, don't they?
Sounds like Don was looking & sounding good(apart from a bit of desert dryness).
I wondered whether Don would be faithful to his old friend Frank Simes & get him in this time. I thought he probably would, even though Peter Thorn did a fantastic job last year.
I notice from the videos that Will still has that 'to die for' longer hair style............:smitten:

Not only is Henley loyal to Frank so is Don Felder. I saw Felder last year and almost fell off my seat when I saw Frank was there too. Don't know who Peter Thorn is but Frank has played every solo show of Henley's that I've seen since 2007.

Peter Thorn took Franks place for Don's shows last November(Frank had already committed to tour with Roger Daltrey). There is more about Peter in the threads reviewing those shows. Peter has worked with Will Hollis on other projects, so I guessed Will suggested him to fill in for Frank.

My thoughts exactly, Lou.
Watching that makes me really excited to hear Don's new albums. I hope he includes It Don't Matter To The Sun on the new album.
