Still raining around here! And cool, 48 night before last!
We finally got a new pool put up and it's too cold and rainy to enjoy it!
Today is supposed to be 99 degrees with a heat index of 108 ! This will be the hottest day I can ever remember. The heat emergency goes from Missouri to the East Coast. Everyone affected please stay safe ! Stay in the AC, check on family, friends, and neighbors ( via phone ) and stay inside. Take care everyone ! :grouphug:
Yep - I think most of us here in the U.S. can sum it up in one word ...
HOT!
Stay cool everyone.
Back to summer here in Missouri after a cooler than normal August!
Fall, come back!
And now since it's supposed to be fall, we're having 90 degree temps! But, cooler beginning Saturday!
HB, I hope you are not flooding out in Houston! Prayers for you girlie!
Yes, thoughts and prayers for those in SE Texas dealing with the devastation of 'Imelda'; Houston, and especially the "Golden Triangle" area (Beaumont/Port Arthur/Orange). The rain stats and videos are unbelievable. Bless those poor folks, some of whom have not recovered from 'Harvey".
Thank you Brooke! And FF! I am fine but it took forever to get home last night with all the detours and back roads. However I am NOT complaining because I got home safely and the house was fine. My area (northwest Houston) did not get hit as hard but I work downtown and downtown was surrounded by water. There is a bayou that runs right beside and partially thru downtown and for the past 5 years, it has started flooding when the rains get heavy. I feel really bad for the people who are dealing with this again. It is so sad. :-(
Thank you for the prayers and positive thoughts as they are needed for Houston, Beaumont, Winnie and many more cities/communities down here.
Delilah - how are you?
HB - Glad to hear everything is ok with you ! They showed the flooding on the news again this morning - unbelievable how much rain has fallen. Sending prayers to everyone on NE Texas.
Missouri roller coaster here with the temps! Yesterday, high 75 and beautiful and today near 90 and humid!
