So much information!! Thanks for all the digging you do, Delilah and NMB as well. I have learned quiet a lot from the both of you!
She's back! Howdy, ETG! Did you have fun at Classic West?
I was channel surfing earlier this week and ran across one of those stations that sells Time Life shows/DVD's and they were offering Midnight Special episodes. I got so excited thinking Randy's performance has got to be one of them, but alas no, it is not.
They are billing it as 70's greatest artists but the book that accompanied the DVD's showed a page with 1981 listed, so I was holding out hope that Randy would be included. :nope:
It did look interesting with all the other performers listed though.
I’ve seen those on eBay. I had the same hope-that Randy’s appearance would be on one of the dvds. I agree  Same deal with the DVD’s of the Merv Griffin Show—no Randy, AFAIK.
There are some clips of MS I’d like to watch—like the one with the Bay City Rollers. I used to love them!
Randy's Solid Gold appearance isn't on any of those compilations either. These people need to get hip to Randy Meisner, pronto!
I do believe Time-Life and these other video distributors are missing a potentially substantial market. Randy seems to gain more fans and more recognition over time via interest in the Eagles. I find it interesting that since Chip Miller posted his World Classic Rockers video, it’s gotten a few thousand views. But when someone else posted the same video using the title “Randy and Friends”, it’s gotten something like 80,000 views. Look how his fans managed to vote him #1 rock bass player from the 70s. Maybe we should start an email campaign and let these companies know there is definite interest in Randy Meisner.
Good idea, Delilah! I would definitely be on board for that.
