Well - your wish definitely came true. In January, we did almost everything on Soda's list and then some! :applause:
And NNTFT - so glad you were able to use Soda's post as your tour guide and, more importantly, glad you enjoyed yourself.

It did, dreamer! It was all wonderful!
Re: The California Eagles sight-seeing tour
A bit tangential, but this came up in my Google alerts - apparently, there's some issues with Lucy's El Adobe Cafe:
Brown, Ronstadt Favorite Restaurant Target of Bitter Sibling Battle
It's a bit grim to read about their legal issues, but it does mention that Glenn and Don ate there and has a factoid I had not heard before: apparently, Brown and Ronstadt met there!
I must admit that I was unimpressed with the place's food. I guess I'm just used to TexMex. I except my chicken and rice to be boneless chicken with seasoned rice and queso, not white rice with brown gravy and bones.
Re: The California Eagles sight-seeing tour
Thanks for posting that, soda - such a shame that this has caused a rift between Lucy's surviving children. Didn't someone once say that money is the root of all evil?

“For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil” - 1 Timothy 6 NIV
Thanks for the link, Soda, it’s unfortunate that it has come to this. It’s cool you got to eat there even if the food wasn’t all that great.

Yep - it was in the Bible first!
Regarding Lucy's, despite the food, it is worth a visit for Eagles fans due to the pictures on the walls. I get the impression the guys probably mostly went there for the margaritas anyway!
Re: The California Eagles sight-seeing tour
The autograph wall at Lucy’s is well worth a visit. It has nearly everyone who was anyone in California rock and country in the 70s and 80s. The 1998 photo of all seven Eagles is the prize. There’s also a very rare photo of Jimi Hendrix with Arthur Lee of Love that I’ve never seen anywhere else.
Re: The California Eagles sight-seeing tour
Too bad to hear they are having trouble. I loved going there with Dreamer. It was a very pretty place. We were there on a rather quiet evening and had drinks. I could have spent more time looking at all the pictures, but found what I needed, those of Glenn and Don.
It seems any will or trust can be contested these days, so really, a will doesn't mean a whole lot.
Re: The California Eagles sight-seeing tour
I definitely enjoyed my visits there - it is a fun place to visit for any Eagles fan that visits L.A. I agree with Soda about the food though ... it was bad! So, if you do visit, you may want to just go for drinks like Brooke and I did. I have to believe the food must have been better back in the day.
Re: The California Eagles sight-seeing tour
We can still go to Dan Tana’s; here’s an interview with the man who’s been tending the bar there since 1968. Guess who his favorite customers were? https://munchies.vice.com/en_us/arti...AIf7bXEjzaF5Uc
