Thanks. I've always wondered that. Made me chuckle. :)

It makes me so mad.
Again, i was such a huge fan of hers, but I cannot stand how she has treated Lindsey and now looking back, how she can be such a diva/drama queen (hindisght is always 20/20). It never occurred to me either that she could/would do this.
Lindsey is hands down one of the most underrated guitarists in the world, and his vocals and arrangements are as well.
I'm so glad I saw FM before all this. I am just so upset at this and at the whole Eagles thing. It sucks that two of my most favorite bands have had these things happen. It just sucks.
I've always wanted to see Stevie solo, but after this I don't know that I can. Same with DH. It just doesn't sit well with me. That said, I'd see them solo way before I'd ever see those two bands again.
Very much disillusioned with Stevie here, too.
And the so-called Eagles.
:nope:
Rolling Stone posted an interview with Mick Fleetwood where he says Lindsey will never be part of Fleetwood Mac again.
https://www.rollingstone.com/music/m...ingham-938279/
Quote:
Do you see any scenario where you’d ever play with Lindsey Buckingham again?
No. Fleetwood Mac is a strange creature. We’re very, very committed to Neil and Mike, and that passed away a time ago, when Lindsey left. And it’s not a point of conversation, so I have to say no. It’s a full drama of Fleetwood Mac, no doubt. His legacy is alive and well, and as it should be. A major, major part that will never be taken away, and never be down-spoken by any of us. Neil and Mike have tremendous respect for Lindsey. The situation was no secret. We were not happy. It was not working, and we parted company. And that really is the all of it.
Have you spoken to Lindsey since his heart attack?
I have not.
Ya I saw that. That’s sour no? “Never be down spoken” well.... and you haven’t talked to him since the his heart attack.:headscratch: Must’ve been some blowout! Even Hetfield reached out to Mustaine when he got diagnosed with throat cancer. That’s sad. Another band (Mac) I never got to see. Was hoping maybe. What a shame to say the least.
To tell the truth. I really don't want Lindsey back with Fleetwood Mac especially after how they treated him before and after his heart attack.
I'm not surprised they haven't talked to him since the heart attack because they did talk mess about Lindsey while he was down. IMO. They really didn't care. Mick just wanted the fans to see that he cared about Lindsey and checking up on him, but later (I think it was a couple weeks after his surgery) you were talking bad about him when he was super down.
I can't wait to hear about Lindsey's comeback.
That sucks. So cold not to reach out to him after he almost died! Disgusting.
And yet if Stevie and Lindsey said yes to a Rumours 5 reunion, health permitting, he would eat those words faster than you could say $epic payday$.
ITA with everyone's comment - that is a pretty heartless statement from Mick. And you are right, Soda. Stevie is the one calling the shots here. If she were to suddenly change her mind and say let's bring Lindsey back ... so how fast can you say $epic payday$.
Wow, after how many years together to not at least ask how he was doing healthwise? How heartless (no pun intended)!
That's terrible...but I agree, if Stevie changed her mind, Mick would have Lindsey back in a heartbeat. Lindsey had left before...
Wow - very cold ! Lindsey helped make them the super group they became in the 70's. Very heartless of Mick.
Question: Did Christine reach out to Lindsey after his heart attack and surgery ?
Money talks so, if Stevie said she wanted Lindsey back it would happen in an instant. In fact, it would happen so fast it would make Neil and Mike's head swim.
I haven’t heard anything about Christine reaching out. I’d like to think so, but...
I would think Christine would they had the album together, but ya never know, sad
I think Christine did reach out. Or was it before the heart attack.
I remember reading that Christine reached out to Lindsey after he was fired, but I think that was before the heart attack.
Yeah - remember something about that, too although I don't remember the details. I'm pretty sure there is some discussion about it either in this thread or in Lindsey's thread.
I found the post. Christine reached out to him after his firing. I didn't find anything when he had his heart attack. She sent an email saying she wasn't part of the firing. Page 142, post 1417.
Thank You Shun ! Hope you had a great Birthday ! When do you go on your cruise ?
Have you heard that “Dreams” is #1 on iTunes this week. It’s due to the popularity of a TikTok video where a guy filmed himself lip-syncing to the song while skateboarding and drinking juice. Mick Fleetwood, whose looking very healthy and happy, did his own video version.

My daughter loves this video. There are a bunch of others doing their take on it. So cool. Glad they got a resurgence from it.
It looks like Mick talked to Lindsey after Peter Green's.
IMO The only way Lindsey will ever returned to FM is when Stevie forgives him and wants to work with him again which I don't see happening. Sad to say. They rather please Stevie and keep her than her being unhappy and leaving the band because of Lindsey.

Christine McVie, the classiest dame in show biz, says she thinks she's too old to tour anymore. Odds are that Stevie and John wouldn't participate either, only Mick.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbi...our-again.html
after all the crap they put poor Lindsey through, now they want to retire. Please........
This is not surprising at all. Christine is 77 and who knows when concerts will be coming back, given the COVID-19 variants that are turning up. None of them are spring chickens and it isn’t realistic to think they would just keep going and going. Good for them if they want to retire. It’s been a great run.
Agreed.
I was curious how Christine said that about Stevie though. Mick - he wants to do it at the drop of the hat. John - too frail to get out there. Christine herself - too old in her opinion to do it anymore. And Stevie - probably won't be touring with Fleetwood Mac again. I didn't know how to take that bit. I tend to look for deeper meaning and reading between the lines. But I felt it was left open to do so.
I was kinda hoping Stevie would get a taste of her own medicine until I read the bit about John's health and thought maybe it was tied into that for Stevie. But I think it would be a nice karma if they brought Lindsey back, and got rid of Stevie for Bekka Bramlett or something like that! Even for just one tour. I love Stevie and I love her music, but my opinion of her soured over her throwing her little drama queen fit over the MusicCares thing where Lindsey supposedly looked at her the wrong way. It was a bit diva ish. She is a diva, but come on man! A little payback wouldn't hurt a thing and might be some humility that she may need. Lindsey is so underrated and really got the shaft on that thing.
If they aren't willing to bring Lindsey back, then yes please do retire. See ya. I have no interest in seeing a version of Fleetwood Mac without Lindsey Buckingham the same way I have no interest in seeing a band still calling themselves the Eagles without Glenn Frey. It's just not cool. I wish they had just retired after Glenn's passing. And I wish FM would have done the same. End on a good note. It's like movie sequels. They can be as good or better than the first movie, or it can just sour and delegitimize the whole thing. Especially with a movie that had a sequel and now it's the 3rd in the series. Never go out with a whimper. Go out with a bang or just go out into the night. Just my thoughts!
In the words of Motley Crue - Don't go away mad. Just go away!
Gotta agree - As much as I love Fleetwood Mac. If they can perform with their most successful lineup, it's time to hang it up.
Mick Fleetwood says he and Lindsey have reconciled and he’s confident they’ll work together again, just maybe not in Fleetwood Mac. But he also believes they owe the fans a farewell tour. https://ultimateclassicrock.com/mick...KidpUxj7VSuYEk
Thanks for posting NMB. This would be interesting. I’d like to see reconciliation, they did Lindsey dirty. Hoping for the best, but in the article he mentions that he would like to tour including Campbell and Finn....:hmm: a little awkward no?
Yeah - I agree ... I would love to see a reconciliation. However, the right way for Fleetwood Mac to have a proper farewell tour would be with the Rumours lineup, IMHO. That is by far the most successful and popular lineup with most all fans.
It will be interesting to see if there will be a full FM reunion though, since Christine has said she doesn't think they'll tour again. I wonder if Stevie would be a part of this.
Agree Dreamer ! Why do a farewell tour if it does not include Lindsey. He was such a part of the band and responsible for so many hits. They all needed to put their big boy bands on and act like the adults they are. Their fights/drama can be very old for their fans. Me included !
