Re: Remembering Glenn Frey
Thanks for the video, Dawn. I've always enjoyed that interview.
SO missing Glenn on this sad anniversary. As with millions of others, he made my world a better place. And even after his passing, his memory will continue to do so for the rest of my life.
I'm so thankful for all he gave us. Forever in our hearts, Rest in Peace, Our Glenn.:weep:
Re: Remembering Glenn Frey
I miss Glenn so much. RIP Glenn!
He is sorely missed, the band touring now pales in comparison to when he was there running his band and singing his great songs and backing up Don. He will never truly be replaced in his own band. He's "the" Eagle, my favorite. How I wish I could have met him. I sure was wrong about him when I first became a fan of the band. And that causes some lingering guilt that I know he'd had forgave me for, but I still have it.
Re: Remembering Glenn Frey
Such beautiful tributes from everyone. I can't believe it has been four years. Glenn, you are greatly missed.
Re: Remembering Glenn Frey
Thanks for your lovely posts everyone. I can't help but believe that Glenn would be very touched by them - I know I am. :grouphug:
Re: Remembering Glenn Frey
I am sorry I couldn't make it on here on Saturday to post something, but Glenn was in my thoughts all day, as always. I watched some Eagles concert footage (the Christchurch bootleg) in his honor. I can't believe it's been 4 years. I am beyond thankful for the music but wish he was still with us...RIP Glenn

This Charley Brown piece says it well.
Hugs to all of you too.
Re: Remembering Glenn Frey
Just thought I'd mention that this marks the 4th anniversary of the week that the music world paused to memorialize and pay tribute to Glenn after his passing.
On 2/13/16, the Troubadour hosted a pre-Grammy tribute show for Glenn with many of his friends/fellow musicians performing to honor him.
On 2/15/16, the Grammy Awards show was held where Don, Joe, Tim, Bernie, and Jackson Browne paid tribute to Glenn by performing Take It Easy.
On 2/16/16, his private memorial service was held at the L.A. Forum.
On 2/18/16, the unveiling ceremony for Glenn Frey Drive was held in his hometown of Royal Oak, MI.
We miss you so much Glenn. Hope you are rockin' the heavens.

Re: Remembering Glenn Frey
I've been remembering Glenn a lot today. It is the 41st anniversary of the release of The Long Run album, which features the incomparable Heartache Tonight. It is also the day in 2016 that Glenn's statue was dedicated on the corner in Winslow, Arizona. I am very thankful that Soda and I were able to be there standin' on the corner in Winslow, Arizona that day to witness the ceremony.
We still miss you so much, Glenn. You will always be in our hearts.
Re: Remembering Glenn Frey
I was in Winslow in August 2016 and I really hope I will get back there at some stage in the future. Although at the moment travel is looking rather bleak.
