[quote=FreyFollower;371213][QUOTE=Ive always been a dreamer;371209]Thanks for the comments everyone and, believe me, we realize and totally appreciate how lucky we were to have gone to Pebble Beach.

While you were lucky to have been able to go, I don't think your experiences were due to "luck". Y'all obviously showed unusual dedication, determination, and loyalty to someone who had seen a fan or two in the previous 40+ years.
I think it meant a lot to him, and the kind person that he was, rewarded you for it. That's what makes it special.
Also love the photo of the three clowns!
So true, FF! I couldn't have said it better.
Can't believe it's been 10 years! I so enjoyed seeing the pics again, thanks ladies!
Re: Frey Fever : The Glenn Frey Photo Thread
I was just saying to Dreamer the other night - the thing Glenn kept bringing up was how impressed he was that we stuck with him through that day it stormed so badly, back in 2007. We were standing there getting soaking wet as the rain poured down, but we didn't care. Everyone else was taking shelter, but we just kept following him around that golf course. Years later in 2011 he was still saying he couldn't believe we stayed out in that rainstorm for him.
So I say, praise God for that rain, because I think it won us the heart of Glenn Frey!

Awww, so sweet!
So, during the rainstorm they continued the game?
Re: Frey Fever : The Glenn Frey Photo Thread
Yes. Apparently it had to be a lot worse than that to cause a shut down of such a big event. Good thing too, as it cleared up within a few hours.
Re: Frey Fever : The Glenn Frey Photo Thread
I noticed the Pebble Beach Pro-Am was on tv yesterday and thought of Glenn Sada, Dreamer and our lucky other Borders who were able to go in 2007. Such memories to treasure forever.
Re: Frey Fever : The Glenn Frey Photo Thread
Yep - Most of that week it rained on and off. IIRC, the only day that it didn't rain was 'Practice' day - it was a pretty day, but with overcast cloudiness. I believe on Friday, it rained most of the day, and then on Saturday, it was horrendous in the morning and afternoon, but beautiful in between. But, hey, we had traveled a long way, and we weren't about to let anything get in our way of seeing Glenn. I think Glenn was also appreciative that we were respectful of his golf game and that we were genuine fans. He seemed to be impressed that we had brought solo stuff for him to sign the previous years - Nancy took her Longbranch Pennywhistle album, Lissa took her Live in Dublin CD, and I took my Strange Weather CD (see my avatar). He said that made his heart pound because most everyone usually wanted him to sign Eagles stuff.

Damn, it's hard being a new fan... well, I saw "new", I grew up with these guys' music, but just became an actual fan some time ago... and to find this wonderful thread and like, 70% of these amazing pics are gone cos the photo hosts sites are basically being a**holes.
So, I just wanna say hi and post my humble contribution that I'm pretty sure it has been posted before but since I can't find, here it is again:

Hi Luci and welcome. Unfortunately, your image is not displaying for me. All I can see is the Photobucket 'kiss off' message.
