As I got into my car I hear the DJ saying , " WLS Chicago remembers Glenn Frey. ". Then they played Take It Easy.. I could only think about Glenn in the early 70s, so young and carefree whole life...
Can someone either post it, or give a link. I can't seem to find on either site. TIA
I also thought it was cute, when asked if he'd ever live in New York... "Are you nuts... I've "never" had a desire... "
I bet even chuckled thinking back on that interview if he ever thought...
I'm not sure where to post this... but I think this is right... and it may be here already. I was looking up something and came across this. I loved it, it made me smile. "Never"... thankfully,...
Same exact thoughts. My husband said, "Glenn Frey died". No way, this is a hoax, or so I had hoped.
It interesting the way a person you've never met can have such an effect you. For as long as I can recall, Lyin' Eye's has been in my top 10 favorite songs of all time. The Eagles really are the...
It was all too surreal until I read Don's statement. My tears are nothing compared to those of you who hold Glenn deep in your heart daily. Of course I feel for his family, bandmates and close...
Looks like I missed a ton this year! The guys sure were busy. Happy to see they were all so active. Mostly happy to hear TBS is doing well.
WOOT! I'm so excited to hear this! I've been waiting for something like this for a long time... and I know I'm not the only one.
I'm a little giddy with excitement!:partytime:
While I will not be going to AC...if the band was close to me, I'd see them again... shortened set list and all. I just enjoy live music. To me, I listen to their CD's so much... so the concept of...
Without hesitation, I voted for Do Something. I actully, really enjoy the message of the song. Also, how nice would it be to see TBS "do something" else? Oh, and he co-wrote it... so yes, Do...
Also my top 3! I honestly can't believe TS was ever cut. It's as classic as PEF IMO.
However, hearing TS, would be treat! I don't think I've ever heard a live version of that song and I love...
Sad I couldn't pick at least three! :hilarious: I love so many of them... but I voted for Already Gone, because it's a rocker and a crowd could really get into it.
I did that the other night... listed to ESIY, P and SP over and over and over... then I missed voting that day! :brickwall: Which was probably for the best, because I couldn't up my mind.
I can not explain why, but I find Parachute depressing. The imagery doesn't work for me. I keep hoping something will snap and I will find myself suddenly in love with this song, but so far, no...
The final three are all very deserving songs. I think I enjoy ESIY the most, because it has a happy tone and is fun to sing along with. SP is awesome and in a class of its own, but I'm not always...
This is probably not going to be a surprise for those that know me...
I vote for Parachute.
I know it's a favorite for many... it's not a bad song by any means... but "I" still haven't...
I recall hearing ESIY for the first time. I loved the catchiness (yes, made up word) that I played it numerous times in a row. More often than not, I prefer songs written by the singer... To agree...
I vote for The Shadow.
This is my least favorite of the remaining songs, so its an easy round for me.
It's time... I vote for White Boy From Sacramento. I think its fun and different... but I still feel A Good Day is a better song and I would like to see that saved.
Currently, WBFS has the most votes... so if you want to save Every Song is You... you may want to jump on the White Boy train...
I agree, I also was not wowed by hearing it live!
Now, I would like to vote for this, however, I can not... just yet. I have to see if a favorite is in danger. :fear: I may have to see if...
Topkat, I think it's probably listed under Trisha Yearwood, if I recall correctly. The movie had Harry Conick Jr and Sandra Bullock in it... for a long time, I thought it was Harry singing... not...
Can't recall if I ever read that article from musicradar before, but I like it! He's so normal!!!
It looks like A Good Day needs saving, not WBFS, which only has one vote!
MYFML is beautifully sung. However, when I hear this song, I associate it with the movie Hope Floats and Garth Brooks. ...
