    Favorite Movies of the Eagles?

Current or past members.. I'm especially curious about Don's taste, since he's a fan of literature.

    Re: Movies

I read how "Ana-ta-han" was considered by Jim Morrison the most profound movie he ever saw, and it's on YouTube.. It is quite great!

Re: Favorite Movies of Rock and Rollers?

Read yesterday (and before many times) that John Lennon loved "The Lost Weekend" directed by Billy Wilder.. I loved Ray Milland's performance in that one.

Re: Favorite Movies of Rock and Rollers?

Heard about Wembley, thought they might come to the LA or another big American city, but forgot about the news on Terry Jones.

Favorite Movies of Rock and Rollers?

I just heard John Fogerty mention some great movies (The Devil and Daniel Webster and The Treasure of the Sierra Madre) and thought to myself, "The best usually love the best" - and might find some...
  8. Re: Tracks That Didn’t Make Hotel California

I'm going to guess if there is one, we won't know about it.. I think it was probably used in a future record, or parts of it, or maybe on a solo record, depending who wrote it..

    Would be nice,...

If you love THIS, then you might like...

If you can rank your favorite bands, the better... Or special songs. But especially underrated stuff that many might not know..

    Supertramp

    Re: Steely Dan

Very sad to read this.... I'm sure it's about money..

It's never enough, is it? Man, they should revert to their old notebooks making $80/week at CBS.

I don't think it was about Glenn.

Re: A change of heart for an Eagle

Thanks for the correction... You know, it can be a positive story :)

And, sometimes it is change, and that's interesting, to see how and why, etc.

Re: A change of heart for an Eagle

Chaim mentioned Don Henley changing stories - I'd be curious with that, or anything else related to the Eagles.. Doesn't have to be something big, just a lack of consistency..

Re: A change of heart for an Eagle

Very simple... List off stories that have changed...

On CNN, while being interviewed, Glenn talks about OOTN and looks at the camera and says "Mine" -- (who else claimed it was theirs). If we...

Re: A change of heart for an Eagle

That would be an example if say while he was in the group, you heard how he was their greatest guitarist, and after his departure, if we were to read how _____ was their best..

    Chances are the...

A change of heart for an Eagle

When a member of the Eagles did an interview 40 years ago, they had no idea this would all be accessible thanks to internet, youtube, etc... If you read enough, you can sometimes see an overlap of...

    Re: Rip Walter Becker

I'm glad I saw them 4 times, but this hurts... I like them even more than the Eagles.. I think they are my #6 all-time.....

I was born in 1982, and 99.9% of what I love (music, movies, standup)...
  18. Roger Waters - Is This The LIfe We Really Want?

Technically, it's not going to be released until 6/2/17, but I found it online. I just listened to this for the 8th time.. It's probably his 2nd best album (after Pros and Cons) but the production...
  19. Re: "All the good music has already been written" - Agree or disagree?

I don't like any new bands in the last 30 years.. I wish I did -- it'd give me something to look forward to, a new album, concert, etc..
  20. Re: LAST RESORT mentioned and played on Bill Maher

"Conservatives believe in change, just not while they are alive!!!"
  21. Re: LAST RESORT mentioned and played on Bill Maher

I would have liked to hear the word "Eagles"

As for permission, Maher and Henley are Democrats, so I'm not sure it was hard to get permission.

Re: Felder's "Heaven and Hell" Discussion Thread

I think Felder got screwed. They went super-league thanks to him, who brought a variety of music, and the best guitarist they ever had.... Joe Walsh gets credit from average fans I read outside of...

I just hope the vocals are still great... I don't think they could play a bad set list - too many fine songs.
  24. Re: Noam Chomsky's comment on understanding of important affairs

I saw a lecture very similar to this.. He implies that regular people have the skills, and if they geared it towards universal issues (as opposed to sports) knowledge can be power.

    Re: America (the band)

Squares in real life? I guess I just listened to the music, and I love it. I don't think I ever saw an interview with them.
