    You can work with someone you have had 'nothing to do with', you know. Knopfler's solo work doesn't really sound like Dire Straits, not that there is anything wrong with that, in my humble opinion. ...

    I love ELO. I don't think the filler is due to Jeff's influence; I think it's because the songs aren't strong enough. Songs like Fishbone & Spanish Dancer & Hi-Roller Baby... they are not very good...
