There typically wasn't (at least until the Reunion period), but in this case there is a special guest who plays basically a more audible version of Henley's studio drumming. I jut can't work out who...
Just found an audio bootleg from Boston on the One of These Nights tour that I have never heard before. What I am wondering though is who is on-stage with them for the final song, Best of My Love?...
With a bit of fiddling that could be better than half of what did end up on The Long Run. Shame about the utterly bizarre vocal solo-thingy in the middle.
I would say that's Glenn, I agree with FP...
Felder's performance in that version of WW is absolutely filthy, my word could he play guitar.
Both Turn to Stone and James Dean feature on one of the F1-era audio bootlegs on the main Eagles Online Central don't they?
Indeed, the electric piano I actually think is fairly audible on the studio version!
Prior to Felder joining Glenn played rhythm guitar when doing it live. It is unfortunate that Randy's decent...
Without having time to watch all of it, that does look like the standard half hour cut we get from the BBC whenever they broadcast it. Out of Control was recorded as an encore I believe and footage...
Indeed. I never cared for Earlybird (and those damn chirping noises) but seguing it into Rocky Mountain Breakdown as they did do live makes the endurance worthwhile, and, as you allude to, got...
I believe only three songs were recorded for the show; Tequila Sunrise, Witchy Woman and Earlybird.
Tequila Sunrise (with third verse) from the aforementioned concert is available as a video download from the EOC main site (or at least it was, I have it saved from there!).
WatchMojo's Top 10 Eagles songs: note they base it on commercial success and fan's favourites so don't expect anything other than the singles and trite analysis...

I'm fairly certain when Joe says the firecracker line he is holding a Tele, Felder a Strat and Glenn is on his Old Black. None of the eight songs use that combination of guitars so that must have...
I know, I was just stating how odd that is. From what I saw in HOTE they easily had enough non-concert footage to make it into some kind of ultimate guide to a 70s rock concert and how it all came...
An awful lot of retro footage from the very beginning of HOTE looks like it was taken that night - for example, Joe wears the same Illinois shirt throughout and their hair and general appearance of...
I do wonder where the clip of Glenn introducing TBS (in Texas somewhere) on The Long Run tour came from...
And yes, I wish the guys would release some more official videos. They sat on the HOTE...
Both the elongated Witchy Woman and JD Souther-featuring BOML are from the Houston 77 bootleg.
Indeed, I thought the footage of the guys looked a bit older. Don however mentions talking about it with Glenn (or vice versa), so I therefore assume it's post-1994.
Found this on YouTube before, it's the (often-told) story of the Desperado artwork shoot. Are any resident Don / Glenn experts able to guess when this is from? Just curious!

This is the widely used Hotel Cali video on YouTube:

One of the comments seems to reckon though the audio for this actually comes from the Eagles...
What was the state of play before 2001? I can kind of understand why he did it for F1 (first song, perhaps getting a feel for the crowd or atmosphere, all four of them together etc) but it seems odd...
Out of interest, I can understand Desperado, but why does Don do vocals only on The Long Run? If he's not on drums he usually has a Tele with him...
Felder's guitar work in that is sublime, easily in the top 10 I've ever seen from an Eagle.
3:30 here for the unbroadcast Peaceful Easy Feeling

Very nice
Love that video! It's the first Eagles vid I ever properly saw after the famous HC one. I prefer that intro with the lone harmonica and Bernie's delicate filler to the studio one.
