    Default Stuff to Use

Ok, I know thats a weird name but I couldnt think of a better one. I thought it might be a good idea to make a forum where we could post all those handy dandy little applications, services and fun stuff available on the internet that make our tributes to Da Boys even more wonder-filled.
Ok, first a friend told me about this... you may already know! but ya know when you find an AWESOME ebay thingy and you WANT it so you bid and someone comes in at the last second and OUT BIDS YOU??? (I hate that..) now YOU can be that person with AUCTIONSNIPE Its a free service (for about 3 auctions a month) that will take your highest bid and wait till the last 10 seconds to place it. I've done this on two auctions this week *G* (I'll show ya'll so I dont hurt any feelings )
ONE and two! <-- this is the one I REALLY want!! but I'd love both!
SO this is a start. I have a few other things to share, but later

That sounds great Ticky! It can be such a Pain when you are outbid. (Although its great fun when you ARE the outbidder) With us being 5 to 10 hours ahead of the States it can often mean either staying up or praying!!

I've never tried that sniping programme, ticky, but it could be useful. I've enjoyed the 'thrill of the chase' in the past, leaving things as late as possible before my final bid, but these days i usually don't compete if something already has a bid (unless I really want it!)

I've posted this elsewhere, but this is a great tool for recording audio from dvds or streaming radio.

gef-ever since you told me about this a few weeks back- I have used it very often. I must say it is one of my fave things I have ever used via my computer. I am a huge YouTube fan-and love the live shows where artist sing together etc that you can't get on cd or any other way. Now I can put them in itunes and on my ipod. The first one I did was off donhenleyonline, the audio from Hold On, I'm Coming with Don and Steve Winwood! Fantastic!!! I wish I had the same kind of program to record video that you can put in itunes and onto ipod.

TBF - I'm looking for a free video stream recorder too. They're out there, but they cost money, and I'm too cheap to buy 'em. I'll post here if I find one.

You can download YouTube videos as .flv or .mp4 using http://www.keepvid.com, though!

Well after today when I lost a gorgeous NFA lapel pin on eBay with only 10 seconds to go (and I was watching) I'll definitely be trying that sniping program. I just HOPE the person who won it was a real Frey fan.

GEF! I must try your link out soon. Looks good.

Soda I've used Keepvid and then last year bought a video converter from Applian which allows the video to be converted to a playable format for computer or media player.

That video converter sounds interesting, GA.

I've discovered the latest version of Real Player lets you download videos as .flv files too, but so far I haven't worked out how to save them to my hard disk. I did manage to download the River Of Dreams video from the Singingfool website!
