Well Kate let me just say .... oh nevermind - this is a path that I probably shouldn't go down!It just makes you long for more, doesn't it?

I've been wasting a lot of time surfing today, and found a reference to a film called The Lonely Guy, from 1984, with Glenn credited as a songwriter. Does anyone know about this, and could one of the mystery songs belong?

No mention of Smuggler's Blues or Ghostbusters on this site - looks ripe for a bit of editing!

Good timing, Kate! I just added that song last night!
Here it is:

And I should probably add I have a page on it here which gives the lyrics and a bit more songwriting information as well as a link to the album itself at the bottom.
Saw the movie for the first time just last night. It started out funny but soon lost its charm and by the end I was glad I had gotten it used for only a few bucks.

Wow, quick response, Nancy! That's amazing! Thank you. It's not very inspiring sung by that guy - I wonder how it would have sounded with Glenn singing.

Well, I have to admit, I wasn't that quick. I had coincidentally put it up just before you asked - it's just good timing on your part. lol
And while it would have been better with Glenn singing it, I like this version, too. There's a lot of emotion in the song.

I think this is probably the oldest thread I've ever revived, but poking around for information about "Everybody's Gonna Love Somebody Tonight," I found more unreleased "Mystery Songs":

It looks like "It's Time to Get a Lady" might have been an unreleased Longbranch Pennywhistle song.
As for "Road Story" - the description says it's 15 pages. What was Glenn up to?
I think Road Story was a play. I found some info on it here.

Thanks for digging up that link!
Very interesting! In the past, Glenn has expressed a desire to write scores for film/television/plays etc. I wonder if this was along those lines? Too bad it didn't come off!Originally Posted by A Guide to the Larry L. King Papers
What would be wrong with him attempting to revisit those 1995 songs, which were written at the same time as the other 'new' Solo Collection songs? I shake my head in disbelief.
