Randy Meisner Barret Jackson Auto Auction

I was watching the Barret Jackson Auto Auction on the Speed Channel either last night or Friday night.

With no ado, one of the commentators just happened to mention that Randy Meisner drove one of the cars up onto the auction block. It was after the fact so I didn't catch the camera shot of him if the even showed it. They did say he was a former Bassist of the Eagles.

I'm sure it will be reran. I can't even remember what car he piloted up there. My brain was still numbed by the sale of a Cobra Roadster replica. I might sell one of my children for one of those...not my grandson though!

Do you know if it was Scottsdale or Las Vegas? According to the Speed Channel site, There are some highlights from the Scottsdale show being aired at 10:00 PM Eastern.

It was during the "live" auction from Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay that was held Oct 16 thru Oct 18 this year (200. It sounded as though Barret Jackson is going to make Vegas an annual event just like the Scottsdale auction and the one down in Florida.

It is not unusual for celebrities to show up there. Jay Leno, Billy Gibbons, Neil Young, Randy Travis (sold a car there last week!)....there are a lot of musicians who collect classics...okay, Leno isn't a musician, but he is one noted car enthusiast though! He's probably got one of everything!

I was not aware that Meisner was an enthusiast.
