Cool to hear a Glenn interview, thanks for the link!
"For the record, we never broke up, we just took a 14-year vacation!"
(Glenn Frey)
I've only had time to listen to Ann's 11 minutes, but it's great so far! Hopefully all of the Eagles will start feeling a little retrospective this year!

And I dream I'm on vacation 'Cause I like the way that sounds,
It's a perfect occupation for me.
I listened to more of it late last night until I couldn't keep my eyes open anymore & there are a lot of interesting tidbits. The interview is 2 hours long! Here's a preview-Glenn says that they are looking into making a Hotel California musical, a musical off all Eagles music! I've got another hour to listen to & I'm going to listen to that now.
Nancy, thanks for finding the full show. I went there but I guess I didn't skip ahead far enough of it to realize that the show was so long & that Glenn came on later. It's really a chat more than an interview which makes it more fun, I think.
Glenn's segment starts at about the 55 minute mark. When I saw the picture of Robert Wuhl, the host, I thought that he looked like "Arliss" from the TV show of the same name on which Glenn guest starred on an episode. I didn't realize until I went to check the time in this interview where Glenn came on that he was in fact, the actor who played Arliss.

I can't get the full version load properly! grrrrr I get about 13 minutes of it (not of Glenn tho).. Is anyone else having this problem?
ETA: I think the problem is that i'm on my mothers computer and she only has dial up internet..... so I'll try again when i get home!

Cool! A Hotel California musical?
Thanks for finding this Ann!
"They will never forget you 'till somebody new comes along"
1948-2016 Gone but not forgotten
I'll let you know what I think when it's finished....how nice to hear from him. Nice photo.
'Cowboy dream crap'.....
I don't know what I think of the musical idea. I would rather see something new. If not from Glenn himself (I have just about given up on that) then the Eagles should do something new. These jukebox musicals tend to be expensive failures. If they could make it good, well, that would be nice, but my initial reaction is scepticism.
'I had some solo hits'..... he could have some again if he tried. Thanks to them for pointing out that YBTTC should have been Number One. Anyway....
I respect Glenn's opinion of Al Kooper but he is fundamentally a 'sideman', not a front line performer (he played the organ on Like A Rolling Stone).
I'm afraid all the American sport references went over my head.
'The auto-immune couple of Southern California'.... ooh, there goes the 'God likes a quiet giver' reference again.
'G minus' - funny, but all the Carl Lewis/national anthem stuff went too long.
One brief throwaway 'make a solo record' mention there...
Why was he at the Beverly Hills Cop screening with Henley? He & Henley were not even talking then, I thought. I have heard this story before (he tells it in a video interview).
No Superbowl...I can understand that.
His explanation of why they can't be more spontaneous isn't very convincing, I'm afraid. So they have a programmed light show. OK. Surely they could work around that.
Now they're all talking about American football.... Glenn is very knowledgeable. I would not have a clue.
Discussion about China - interesting.
Well, that appears to be over. I am so grateful for that.

Glenn expands a little bit more on the Broadway musical near the end.
I am not familiar with all the sport references that are discussed either, but I love to hear Glenn talk about the things he is so interested in.
At one point he refers to the Eagles as the "Mother Ship". He says that they all can go off & do other things but, they always return to the Mother Ship.
