    I agree with this statement:
    He understands well crafted simplicity.
    In the HotE doc, Timothy talks about the arrangement of ICTYW as having a "lot of air" and the same is true of much of Glenn's solo work. The vocals don't get drowned out by the other instruments and if another instrument has a solo, it's given room to breath.

    Excellent blog. I love it when people recognize Glenn's most underrated strength. There's more to making a good song than good guitar licks and a great voice with good lyrics. The lyrics, the voice, the instruments all need to be arranged into something that paints a picture or sets a mood for the listener. Something they can relate to.

    Thank you, VA! I don't recall ever seeing that before either. It was a very enjoyable read. Oh what I would have given to have been enrolled in that class!
