Celebration of "Long Road Out of Eden"!

5 years! Amazing! It really seems like it couldn't have been that long!

I love most of the album and I remember listening to some of the songs before it was actually released and how much I was in shock about Somebody! I remember I had used an old cassette tape deck to tape it from a radio station review or something! They never said who was singing the song and I was amazed that it was Glenn! Loved it from the very beginning, it was just so different for him, the way he changed up his voice in different parts.

And WITW just took my breath away; it was just sooooooo beautiful. It nearly brought me to tears many times while listening to it. I still think it's a masterpiece and so wish they would put it back in their shows.

I could go on, but I really need to do something at work!

If I can I will join in tonight. I don't know what hubby has going on though.

OMG - I it does seem almost impossible to believe that this album is 5 years old. I'm like Soda - I still think of it as new (well, by Eagles standards, it'll still be new 10 years from now)

I think the album stands up very well against their earlier material, and I'm also very grateful that they got it done. I have to drive up to Laurel, MD. for work tomorrow so guess what the first album in the CD player will be. And I'll pop in if possible, but it's doubtful that I'll be able to make the chat party tonight.

As for LROOE standing up well against their earlier work, it has pretty much become my favourite of their albums.
