Aww Irene...I know...I think that is such a stupid rule. It's because you can walk anywhere inside there with your alcohol...but I don't understand at all why they connected the venue to the casino so that the *only* entrance is only accessible through the casino!

(Well okay...they want to lure concert goers to slot machines and bars...still not fair though. )

They could've at least made a wristband system or something. You know, if you're under drinking age you get this glaring ugly plastic wristband or something, LOL...ah well. Incidentally, the only place alcohol is not allowed is within the concert hall, which I THANK GOD for. I've been to too many shows that were almost ruined or at least seriously impaired by drunken fans (like my first Fleetwood Mac show where the people were yelling at Stevie to shut up during Goodbye Baby ), and although of course that still means you can get drunk and then go in, you can't further the drunkenness while you're in there. But I digress.

Awesome that you made your mom into a fan though!!! Hooray for converting people to our side!

I believe I am very qualified to become a certified RGT. This is definately my dream job that I've been searching for. And I can assure you, this time I won't be b!tching about working nights and weekends.
Bwahahaha...okay, where do we sign up for this RGT course?? I just started a new job, but I don't really like it and it's rather far from home...I believe becoming a certified RGT just might be the right career path for me.

I know, right??? Ohhh I was so mad... Eventually I turned around and was like, "Why don't y'all shut up instead???" They actually just left, considering it was more than halfway through the last song of the show...thank God, so I got to finish out the show in peace! Somebody threw a beer bottle onstage at the end, too. :P

Well, Bree - if I told you, I'd have to shoot you. You see, I plan on being the lone applicant for this position!

BTW - We got our tickets for both nights. I'm so excited, I can hardly stand it. We're in section F4 - Row 4 on Friday night, and Row 3 on Saturday. I'm already counting the days for this. Irene - that is so rotten that you won't be able to go!

Oh my gosh. What a horrible day. I have not gotten any tickets at all, because unfortunately, real life interfered! If you want to hear the sob story, read on. If not, just skip it, 'cause it's depressing.

Well, I knew today wasn't the best day for this. I had a meeting from 11:45-12:45. It was informal in that it was intended to give feedback on a dissertation to one of my friends along with three other people, but she has done the same for me, and I owed it to her to do the same for her. However, I decided I would type up the comments, print them out, head over there early, give her the comments with my apologies, then run back to do Ticketmaster. This was not to be.

I tutor as a sideline and I had an appointment with a South Korean girl to help her on a very important presentation for her department - she is a graduate student but struggles with pronunciation and smaller aspects of English grammar. Unfortunately, because it was such a big deal, she was very nervous and we wound up having to practice for a much longer time than originally planned. I didn't want to tell her "Time's up, I need to get tickets" because this presentation was important to her, so I just kept quiet, helped her, and tried not to look at my watch. By the time we were done, it was past noon.

So, I'm late for the meeting, too. I run to print off the comments in the computer lab, but the printer is down! Run a couple floors down to the next one - also down! I only find this out, of course, after logging in, which alone takes 5 minutes at least, closer to 10 sometimes with these slow machines. It's 12:30 by the time I print the comments out and run over to the Union where the meeting is. But they must have disbanded early because they were gone! Feeling terribly guilty, I spent some time looking for her, then finally dropped it off in her mailbox.

Now it's 1:00, and I suddenly remember I have an appointment with the scheduling deputy for class assignments for the summer and fall! I run up to the third floor, get my assignments (MAYMESTER is MINE!) and then it's 1:30. So I think, now I have some time before my students come in for their paper reviews at 2:30. THEN I REALIZE I LEFT THE PAPERS AT HOME. I rush home, get them, come back just in time. NO BREAK people. Now, at 4:00, I have a 15 minute break before the next student, so I took a chance and looked - no luck. Guess I'll keep checking back. SO SUCKY!

    Next student coming in. SIGH.

Dreamer -- the seats are in section F3, not F4. OMG, you're losing it already!!

I know Z. I have been foggy-headed and slightly dizzy ever since you gave me the 'excellent announcement'! I screwed up on Eagleland and gave Mel the wrong info too, but Molly bailed me out of that one.

Nancy - sorry your day was so sucky. Keep the faith - you'll get good tickets I'm sure.

Truth is, even if I don't get the best seats, I'll still have a blast. This is very special for me!
