Willie, I finally got around to watching all of those Johnny Lang videos. He is amazing! I can't believe his voice, for his age particularly! How come he hasn't made it big yet? I am definitely interested in seeing how his sister does on AI! BYW, do you think one of those girls in the Lie to Me video was her (one of them had light-ish colored hair and might have been her, I thought...)

The Lie To Me video is from 14 years ago (when Jonny was only 14 himself) and she would of only been 10 or 11 and I think those girls are older in the video.

Glad you liked them. Hope you check out some more of his stuff. I can't express how wonderful a singer and guitarist I think he is and I'm always more than happy to spread the word and convert others!
He sings it high, he plays it low

Ok, from the moment I saw this thread I knew that it wouldn't be easy to compile a listing of just 10.

So...here are the 10 male singers that I listen to most often these days (in no particular order after the first person listed) with a short-as-possible 'honorable mention' listing at the end:

    1. Timothy B. Schmit
    2. Don Henley
    3. Glenn Frey
    4. Ed Roland (Collective Soul)
    5. Brian Wilson
    6. Pat Simmons (Doobie Brothers)
    7. Tom Johnston (Doobie Brothers)
    8. Keith Urban
    9. Jackson Browne
    10. Kenny Loggins

    Honorable Mentions:

John Fogerty, Carl Wilson, Dennis Wilson, Steve Perry, David Pack, Robert Plant, Dan Fogelberg, Gary LeVox, Sebastian Bach, Richard Marx, Jeff Lynne, Bob Seger, and Matthew and Gunnar Nelson

Favorite female singers include: Stevie Nicks, Sheryl Crow, Emmy Lou Harris, Alison Krauss, Linda Ronstadt, Karla Bonoff, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Jo Dee Messinah, and Martina McBride

I forgot to include one of my very favorite singers! Is it ok to have eleven instead of 10? I don't know how I could have forgotten Kris Kristofferson! He is someone I have loved for years.

No Stars, I'm sorry, it is against all rules and regulations to have eleven favorites instead of ten....Just kidding of course!

I don't know why he hasn't made it big but he's definently well known within the music circle! He's played MANY shows with BB King and when Stevie Wonder was inducted into the HOF (I think that's what it was?), I read somewhere that he requested Jonny sing his song "Livin' For The City" because he enjoyed it so much.

    Great lists everyone.

    1. Don Henley
    Glenn Frey
    Joe Elliott
    Dave Mustaine
    Sonny Sandoval
    2. Elton John
    3. Phil Collins
    4. Lu Rubino(StorySide B)
    5. Rob Thomas
    6. Sammy Hagar
    7. Michael Hutchence
    8. Hewey Lewis

The only ones that could possibly change over time is 6-10, the others are pretty much set in stone.
