Default Casino Rama in Orillia, ON, Canada 7-21-06, 7-22-06

Casino Rama doesn't have high speed dial up and I just now figured out how to get online through dialup by calling the hotel desk. A cute guy came up to help us so it's all good!

Rama was terrific, although he dropped the two covers (Some Kind of Wonderful and I Hear You Knocking). We thought it was because of a time limit, but when we chatted to one of the security people, they said there was a time MINIMUM. Oh well, we still had a blast. We actually got to go up front as early as the second song, Lyin' Eyes. Some brave souls went up and after watching for a minute or two to see if they were sent back, I stood up. A nice elderly lady who was a security guard grinned at me when I looked at her questioningly and waved me on. I don't need any more encouragement than that. I was off like a shot. Bree, Lissa, Kay, and Sheryl were right behind me. I don't know who else came up at that time although I did see L&M at the very end, so we were really representing up front!

Being so close was VERY cool. We got to see all the facial expressions, sweat, even spit! lol And the sound was so good, but I think it might have been everywhere. Once again, a very powerful performance and vocal delivery. He seems more intense when it's just him. Very focused. We had a wonderful time. Again, we're pressed for time, so not too many details now. Like Pebble Beach, once we do get time, you will get DETAIL OVERLOAD. lol

The only negative - the fact that you guys can't be here.

Just got back from the last show - we only got to go up front fo the encore this time, but Glenn still was great, as usual. He joked even more than usual, mostly at his own expense, but he had the audience cracking up, even though comparatively they were absolutely dead! He did say he didn't know if he'd ever be back, which had me a little bummed, but at least I got to see him. As you guys know, more details later!

We wait with bated breath... How awesome to get up so close to him!

And if anyone could afford to buy me a t-shirt (loose fitting, medium), I would repay them through Paypal plus postage etc. To have a Glenn tour shirt would be a small compensation for not seeing him live!

    This way to happiness...

Well i'm back from Rama! I only went to the saturday show but..it was pretty AWESOME! As Nancy said got to get up to the front for the encores which was more than i ever expected

After the show I managed to get Victor (Glenn's Guitar tech) attention and asked him if he remembered me from london. He stopped looked at me and then said "yeah actually i do!" i was amazed and i had a gift for him of a purple bracelet (which is the bracelet to support epilepsy) so i gave it to him and then asked him to give another purple bracelet to Glenn for me! which he said he would!

The show itself was great Glenn made many jokes especially when his guitar went dead right before a song and they had to wire him right to the amp! Victor to the rescue!! and we gave Victor a huge ovation for that! Glenn made the usual plantiff joke. As well Glenn was drinking Yellow/Green Gatorade and made various comments about it including he should get an endorsement deal for this!! Glenn sounded a little hoarse at times but after 3 shows in 3 days i'm not suprised! he is working awfully hard!!i guess the biggest thing that just shone thru for me the whole night is Glenn's charisma is magnificent. His facial expressions and laughter are just priceless! It was was a wonderful time and i loved meeting everyone!!

    Thank you TF.

Did he still sing the new song without a guitar? Did he have most of the backing band including Steuart?

Yes he did do the new song without the guitar, it was very sexy!! and he had Al Garth, Wil Hollis, Micheal Thompson and Scott Crago with him but no Steuart.

Btw I also remembered he dedicated NMCD to his daughter Taylor. It was soo sweet!!

    And I'm home.......for a few days.........................

In light of recent events, and thanks to a very generous benefactor LOL.....I AM GOING TO ATLANTIC CITY!!!!!!!!!!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT....I LEAVE TOWN AGAIN IN 4 DAYS TO SEE GLENN ONE MORE TIME!!!!!

Ahem, that had nothing to do with Rama did it? Right. I wouldn't take the "Don't know when I'll be back" comment too seriously....you know, if they are going to seriously go back to work on their album, they may be busy next summer, you know? At Mt Pleasant he specifically said "We're not done."

Those of you who would like the T-shirts....as I am going to Atlantic City, I could TRY to obtain you those. I'm not sure at all how much cash I will have, likely not much....if anyone is willing to advance me the money, PM me and I will set my Mastercard up to receive it, but I can't guarantee I'll have the cash on my own first, lol...I am honestly only able to go to this show because someone else is loaning me mucho moolah to do so. Up to you...I would be happy to do it if I can.

Oh gosh...what to say, what to say?! My mind is a blank! LOL! I have NO VOICE thanks to last night... Early on in the show, I have been informed that my ridiculously loud "WE LOVE YOU GLENN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" made it AT LEAST as far as 7th row, HAHAHAHAHA... And then of course, my signature YBTTC shriek. Apparently it was in fine form, LOL, which it had better have been seeing as how I ripped my voice on it and I sound like a frog with tonsillitis!!!

Glenn Frey is a beautiful, beautiful man. There was plenty of unpleasantness from the people in the seats around me, I was way up top so my seatmates blew, they weren't real fans at all... But ohhhh he and his lovely voice more than made up for it. I really felt as though his delivery on certain songs, like the new "I Love To Watch A Woman Dance" and "Some Kind of Blue" was extra-personal last night, it was funny...he spoke more words than usual in that sensual tone of his...siiiiigh.

As for Friday night...oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. STAGE SIDE from the start!!! When I first came in, the same security witch who gave me trouble last year took me to my seat and told me I needed to stay in it, no running to the stage, no standing, no nothing. Well, people started up in the middle of Lyin' Eyes...SONG NUMBER 2, and were allowed to stay. After waving Kay, Sheryl, Nancy, and Cece (sp?) down to the stage and watching them go and stay there and dance away in front of Glenn.....I decided I just had to go along, and forget the consequences. So I went. AND I STAYED. Oh, it was incredible, absolutely incredible, adn we got a few looks and smiles despite the freak directly in front of him who decided it was his personal time to hold a conversation with Glenn.

Oh my gosh. More later...I literally just got in a few minutes ago and haven't even checked my e-mail or anything else yet, so I ought to do that!!

My friend and I: "Nice coat Glenn!"
Joe Walsh, at next pause between songs: "Hey, nice coat, Glenn."
Glenn: "Thanks, thanks...yah, I picked this up at the..Liberace garage sale, glad you like it..."
