Wow - I was really shocked yesterday. I had to go to one of my doctors for a routine test and truly couldn't believe my ears when I heard Life of Illusion playing. I don't think I've ever heard it playing in a public place before. It made me happy because it's one of my favorite Joe solo songs.

Even though I had already heard it on another radio, I heard Last Worthless Evening on another station this past Sunday heading to church. That’s still one song I thought I would never hear again on the radio.
Brothers for life. RIP Glenn
I'm not sure I believe in fate, but I know that crossing paths with Glenn Lewis Frey in 1970 changed my life forever, and it eventually had an impact on the lives of millions of other people all over the planet. It will be very strange going forward in a world without him in it. But, I will be grateful, every day, that he was in my life. Rest in peace, my brother. You did what you set out to do, and then some." -Don Henley
Headed out to get some errands done the other night. I have my CDs playing in the car (as usual). "You Belong to the City" comes on just as I pull up to the stop light. As (I am very sure) you all know, that song starts out with a sax solo. I look at the car ahead of me, and the license plate reads: SAXGUY. I just cracked up laughing.
Cute story CAinOH - I love those kinda moments.

I heard The Boys of Summer in CVS yesterday...first time I've heard an eagles/solo song in public in a long time!
I heard TIE on the radio this afternoon. I had forgotten how young Glenn sounded back then.
