Re: Photos from the Confessor 1985 Australian tour?
I'm glad people like them. I'm sorry there aren't more and that my memories of the shows aren't more comprehensive. It was such a thrill to see Joe twice before I saw any of the others. I didn't see Glenn until 1988.

Re: Photos from the Confessor 1985 Australian tour?
Thanks so much, FP. What great photos!!!! And thanks for the info on the gig too.
Would it be all right with you if I added the one of Waddy to Waddy's web site? If so, what name should I give photo credit to?
-Nina
P.S. Would you have any pics with Rick Rosas (the bass player) in them?

Nina, I didn't have any with Rick Rosas. I would have posted them if I did. I was concentrating on Joe.
You can use the photo of Waddy. My full name is Julie Gustafson if you wish to give me credit.

Re: Photos from the Confessor 1985 Australian tour?
That's great, Nina! You know, I've had the pleasure of meeting Waddy a couple times. One of them was at AHI 2005 with Stevie Nicks and Don Henley. In fact, you have that photo on your site - me with him, Don, Stevie, and my friend Kristin as well (I'm the brunette in the navy blue dress).
Waddy is so cool. When I met him that time in 2005, I joked with him, "I never thought I'd get my photo taken with Mr. Waddy Wachtel!" He laughed at that, along with Don. Later he waved at me in the audience (I went to several Stevie shows).
I also saw Waddy at Stevie's Soundstage last year. He was walking around and I waved him over and talked to him a bit. I'm pretty sure he didn't remember me, but he was very gracious and we joked around a bit about the show. I also brought up his famous mention on "Lola My Love."
When I went to see JD Souther a few months ago, he mentioned Waddy and how he helped him refine the song "You're Only Lonely." When he said Waddy's name, my friend Tiff (also a Stevie fan) and I gasped, "OH! Waddy!" And JD laughed and smiled at us (we were front row center). It was too funny!
Welcome and glad to have you. Waddy is awesome.
As for seeing Longbranch Pennywhistle live.... oh my gosh, please tell us ANYTHING you remember from that!
Always in our hearts, Never forgotten
