I just saw on Joe's Facebook page that he will make an appearance tonight on the CMA Awards. I don't know if he's performing with someone or presenting. He didn't say.
Brothers for life. RIP Glenn
I'm not sure I believe in fate, but I know that crossing paths with Glenn Lewis Frey in 1970 changed my life forever, and it eventually had an impact on the lives of millions of other people all over the planet. It will be very strange going forward in a world without him in it. But, I will be grateful, every day, that he was in my life. Rest in peace, my brother. You did what you set out to do, and then some." -Don Henley

Wow, thanks for the headsup, KW! I'll be watching!

Just spotted Joe in the CMA audience!
"Be part of something good--
Leave something good behind."
Saw Joe's presentation and performance! He looked great and I loved his comments about appreciating country music so much since they helped the Eagles to get back together with the recording of the Common Thread album.
I did think he seemed a bit nervous.
I'm sure someone will post videos soon.

Gonna watch tonight. Love me some Joe!
Here's a link to the performance in honor of Kris Kristofferson. I didn't even see KK there! Anyone? Joe is on the far left.

So I watched, saw him in audience a lot ha ha. I thought he looked great,I agree Brooke, he looked a lil nervous ...performance was fun but seemed like his guitar was muted or something....but fun. Marjorie was dancing so that was cool to see too.
I did watch this live last night.
3 things to say, two including Joe.
1st - I absolutely loved Joe "taking the piss" out of Bobby Bones by going "Bobbayyy" over and over. I find Bobby Bones insufferable and quite the weird guy and not a nice one and the fact he used a billboard campaign against himself under a different name to make people feel bad for him and vote him in was pathetic. He is just so incredibly pretentious and I love how ol' Joe had him flustered trying to read scripts.
2nd - I did like the KK tribute, but why have Joe play if all he is going to do is play rhythm? Instead they gave the solo spot to John Osbourne of Brothers Osbourne. I mean at least give Joe a solo spot!
3rd - I didn't care for the throwback vibe of this years CMA awards. I like new country and there was a lot of names I didn't recognize and a bunch of slow sappy songs I didn't care for.
All in all seeing Joe was a surprise because I hadn't checked here or saw it anywhere else. I loved it!
