I expect Joe is rehearsing for the Teen Cancer America - Celebration of The Who show (Rosemont Theatre Chicago on the 14th May).
I don't know if this is related to that show but Grizzly Bear singer Edward Droste has been jamming with Joe.

Just got to sing alongside both my dear @thevandykeparks but also Joe Walsh from the Eagles ☺️😳☺️🎉 (such a great experience! )

The Who show looks a good-un. Joe's often spoken highly of jamming with Townshend over the decades. It'll be a rare treat to see them playing on stage together.

An Evening Celebrating The Who with Pete Townshend, Eddie Vedder & Friends.

Townshend and Vedder will be accompanied by Zak Starkey (drums), Simon Townshend (guitar), Pino Palladino (bass), John Corey (keyboards), Loren Gold (keyboards) and Frank Simes (keyboards).

The evening will be hosted by Roger Daltrey.
Special guests recently added to the lineup include Joe Walsh and Joan Jett.

So, which The Who track would you want Joe to play?

Kudos to Brett Buchanan for laying it all out, pics, vids & detailed set list, on this Alternative Nation page:

    Thanks VAisForEagleLovers

Not bad for a track that Glenn and Don described as an obscurity from a soundtrack album.

I never got Elton's Tiny Dancer until I checked out the scene from Almost Famous.

I was inspired to learn how to play guitar after seeing Le Jeux Interdit on TV as a kid, several years before I could afford a guitar or discovered Joe and rock music.

Thanks for the info about the Teen Cancer Benefit, F50.

And I'm a little surprised that In the City came in as #2 on that list of movie songs, but glad, nonetheless. But, I would agree with the choice of Tiny Dancer from Almost Famous - I absolutely love that scene!

Here's a rarity. It's not as detailed as I'd like but it's a review, by Doug Collette, of a live Barnstorm show from 1973, sharing the bill with Stephen Still's Manassas.

    http://www.glidemagazine.com/136473/...-thunder-1973/

"they didn’t get much credit for their groundbreaking foray, in large part because Walsh didn’t persevere in this direction"

It didn't turn out too bad but I wish Joe had persevered with Barnstorm for a couple more albums. I love the "thundering crescendos" reference and "It was startling to hear — not just because of how loud it was, but how delicately these men played."

I'm still looking forward to the Barnstorm reunion.

Thanks - interesting! I have to say I'm glad Joe changed directions, though.
