That's enough evidence for me but I'll be looking out for more.
Yes, but I'm pretty sure those are still back-up vocals in the photos from Barnstorm. I have quite a few old Barnstorm shows and none of them feature Joe V. on lead vocals. However Walsh did allow him to introduce various songs. The live version of Pavane comes to mind. I have a great version where Joe V. is basically telling the audience to shut up and listen.

It's too bad that no one kept good records for Walsh's live shows. I used to collect Pink Floyd and I swear I could look up a set list for damn near every show they ever did. I guess when I read that passage in Joe V.'s book I assumed he did some sort of opening spot but who knows!?!

Joe will be on the 200th show of Ham Nation tonight at 9pm ET. He was on the first show, so it will be nice to have him back for a milestone event.

    I really enjoyed Ham Nation's 200th show.

Finally got to hear the complete version of Joe's theme tune.

Great to hear Joe chatting with a close pal, even though the techno stuff was flying over my head most of the time.

If you don't want to listen to the whole episode, Bob and Joe's main conversation starts about 54 minutes in.

Joe tells us about the Mural on the side of the Water Street Tavern, in Kent Ohio and how he became a ham after moving from rural Ohio to a 3rd floor apartment block in New York when he was about 12. He shows us a photo of himself at his rig age 12. He also offered to return to Ham Nation to discuss the Talk Box and modulation.

Joe's going to be in Nashville for a few days next week.

Yes! I was thrilled to learn that he knew about the mural! I always watch when Joe is on. It's just Joe being himself. No make-up, no fancy nothing!

A new article about an old 'almost news' moment from TRS. When David Gilmour and Pete Townshend briefly had a supergroup and considered inviting Joe into it.

Very interesting! I had never heard about this before! Adding Joe would have certainly made it a legitimate 'super group'.

ICYMI from the photo thread, Joe made a surprise appearance at the Stone concert last night in Nashville. Brad Paisley opened for them, and Joe came out and sang LGB with him.

Joe gets a small quote in this article about Ringo, and the biography coming out on him, "Ringo - A Little Help"

Joe will once again be joining Ringo for his birthday "Peace And Love" noon celebration at the Capitol Records in LA on July 7th.
