Maleah, that is great! I'm so happy that you like all those songs!

Here are some more 'deep' tracks that I recommend:

The King Must Die (Elton John)
    Salvation (Honky Chateau)
Texan Love Song (Don't Shoot Me...)
    Harmony (GYBR)
    Sweet Painted Lady (GYBR)
    Ticking (Caribou)
    Better Off Dead (Captain Fantastic)
    American Triangle (West Coast)
    Legal Boys (Jump Up)
One More Arrow (Too Low For Zero)

Thought I responded to your last post FP, but apparently I didn't. Those are great songs as well! Thanks so much for your recommendations! I think I may actually have more Elton songs than Eagles songs now!

I should add to this that I finally purchased Madman Across The Water & Tumbleweed Connection. Indian Sunset, from Madman, is just wonderful.

Indian sunset is a superb song, and one of my favourites from Madman across the water. The others being Tiny dancer, Holiday Inn, and the title track.
Though I actually like all the songs.

I first bought the album on cassette tape.
(Dare I confess that I have Elton's second album on vinyl, purchased when it was first released? )

Love Tiny Dancer (& other favourites are Song for Guy, Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me and Daniel).

Elton John was my first concert. 1990. (And Dragon opened... )

Nothing to be ashamed of. About half of the 900+ albums we have in our collection were from my teen and young adult years when they were first released. LOVE MY VINYL!!!

FP--Isn't Madman wonderful? LOVE that Elton album. It's my husband's favorite Elton album.
He sings it high, he plays it low

...on Monday it was announced that Elton John would be performing "solo with his piano" in a small town, just 2 hours from where I live....and today, I managed to get tickets.....never thought it would be possible due to the amount of tickets available....it all happens on September 13th...cannot quite believe it yet.....that he's playing in such small avenues...then again, his "mate" is Canadian, maybe he has some kind of connection to this town??

That's great, GH! when I heard it announced on the local news I wondered if you would be going. Saw him in Saint John a couple af years ago. It was just him & his piano then too. He was (Captain) fantastic! I've been a big Elton fan since high school.
