Thanks Willie. I was really happy to be there and to be meeting my favorite comedian but I just don't like that pic of me. Mostly because I remember how much pain I was still in at the time. I had just gotten out of the hospital 2 days before that and was still in some pain. Plus that was a pic of me before i lost 50 pounds. I see that pic of me and just think "Yuck!!!"

We went to see two comedians at the Opera House, Jason Byrne and Rich Hall aka Otis Lee Crenshaw.

Byrne is Irish and most of his material had to do with his family life, but there was a lot of sending up the laconic Australian accent. At 8.30 the lights went out for Earth Hour and he had to finish the show lit only by a torch that someone just happened to have with them.

Rich Hall has become a favourite of mine due to his regular appearances on the British comedy quiz show QI. He seems to spend a lot of time in Britain although he is American. He did the first part of the show as himself and then sang some satirical redneck country songs as Otis Lee Crenshaw, which I thought were brilliant. I can't say much more except one song was an ode to Bundaberg Rum, which is Australia's 'lower middle class' drink if you like. It hit home.

My favorite comedian, Bill Engvall, is going to be in Tulsa, OK on May 16. I would love to go but that's the night before Don's solo concert at the WinStar Casino. I'm already taking a night off of work to see Don but I don't think I could take off for 2 nights in a row.
