Yeah, Willie, and the guys are probably thinking, "why would anybody care?!"

So looking at the calendar today, I see that at this point in 1971 the guys were heading to Aspen to do their first paid gigs as a band. This is when Glyn Johns heard them play and thought they were awful. My, how things have changed! And Glenn will be back in Aspen in just a few weeks, with Mr. Joe Walsh!
They ain't so shabby after all! Lol!

And I dream I'm on vacation 'Cause I like the way that sounds,
It's a perfect occupation for me.
Regarding 'The Long Night At Wrong Beach', apparently the other guys just hopped in the limo straight after the concert and left the place. They didn't want to be a part of it. Can't say I blame them!
The whole "Three songs till I kick your ass" thing cracks me up though. I'm sure it wasn't as funny at the time.

Even though the day is almost over, I think it is worth mentioning that it was 4 years ago today in 2006 that the Farewell I television broadcast won an Emmy award for outstanding sound mixing!
Congratulations Farewell I!!!

I didn't get a chance to post yesterday, so I'm a day late on this. Yesterday was the 25th anniversary of Don and Glenn winning their MTV Music Awards in 1985 for The Boys of Summer and Smuggler's Blues. I wanted to mention this especially since we were just discussing this in another thread recently. I am going to repost what Soda put up last year for this because these clips are very entertaining, and definitely worth watching if you've never seen them.

Thanks for those, dreamer! I hadn't watched them lately! Glenn and Don look quite fetching in them!

Today in Eagles history, "Don Henley sued by fan claiming he threw a maraca at her." This caught my attention. Does anyone know what happened? I had never heard about this before.
Here's a news item about it:

Wow, I'd forgotten about that! I had to laugh when I read the lengthy list of "mental reactions" caused by the apparent incident, though...
