Oh, I couldn't agree more, girls - it's interesting that he seems to have done that from the earliest days of performing. As something of a perfectionistic musician myself, I love it, as I totally understand his need to hear himself completely, and hit those notes just right.

And I love "Live In Dublin" too!

But I never saw him put his hand on his ear UNTIL Dublin. The only time he has done it since is during HITW from Farewell One. I would be interested to know where else you've seen him do it.

Oh, you most certainly can, GA. We have something in common, my girl: only I don't sing the song in the car (my humble Beetle doesn't have a sound system... ), but I certainly do while I'm ironing . I change the words, for example:

He moved in next door to me
And he showed me his world
What a neighbour, thanks for the favour
He's a very sexy boy

Only problem is, I wish Glenn hadn't rhymed the words "girl" and "world" in the original, as now I have a problem!

Check out the 1972 Eagles performance of "How Long" on GFO. When Randy takes over the lead vocals, Glenn moves in to the microphone with Bernie, and as they do the back-up vocals, Sugar puts his hand over his right ear (the other one!) for a brief moment. I just watched it again... oh, my heart!
